Been away for 2 years, now back. Looking for suggestions of new interesting features.

Grief there are some miserable devils on here.
:devilish:
I think the evil comments here resume that in the last 2 years we didn't witness any "WOW" or real game changer.
  • Atmospheric planets with surface and biology analysis tools and new game loops would be a game changer.
  • Possibility to land on capital worlds to visit the big cities would make the game hugely deeper in terms of immersion.
  • Volcanic planets mining with new dangers and big SRV diggers would be a game changer.
  • Walking around our ships to make maintenance and reparations, exploring stations would be a game changer.
  • Having the light sources correctly rendered from all stars in the same system would be a huge graphic improvement.
  • New mission types (since how many years have we got the very same?)
  • CQC with tournements in the game...
  • A universal limpet controller...

OP, you have a lot of new ships to try ..... these have been pointed out before, but they are all good (in their own way). The T-10 is like a big armored T-9 with a spoiler, the Lakon fighters are worth experimenting with, although I ignored them after a beta and went straight to the two Kraits, which in my opinion are the best all-round ships they have ever produced. The Mamba is fun too.

OP, to add to the above (maybe). Not sure when you started your break from the game, but there is now SLF (Ship Launched Fighters) that you can either fly yourself or have a NPC crewman fly for you. There is even a hybrid guardian (I think, alienish anyway) version if you are so inclined.

In fact, the more I think on it, a hell of a lot has happened in the last two years :D

Oh, and key bindings ..... lots and lots of key bindings (there's a new camera to set up for the ship and another for the store!) :D ..... which reminds me .... you now are rewarded with a few ARX points as you play to tempt you to spend them in store ..... and the store is accessible through the game .... and there's paint .... lots and lots of paint !

Hey @ArrrmyTraininSir - one more thing I just managed to track down for you - a complete list of all the changes across all the various releases and patches. Find the date of the last time you played and then scroll down to find everything that's new.

- Squadrons
Good way to get involved with Multiplayer and doing stuff like BGS work
  • Mining got a massive overhaul and finally got enjoyable
  • Exploration has seen some changes (not everyone likes them) with a scanning mini game and launching probes at planets to find POIs. There are also several dozens new phenomena that you can discover
  • There are (fully voiced) scenarios that can be played at USS locations / mega ships like rescuing or pirate attacks
  • Trade tools have seen lots of improvements
  • Engineers are way better now
  • USS are persistent and can be found using exploration mechanics
  • (limited) Autopilot has been added
  • New ships
  • Fight Thargoids or repair stations destroyed by them
  • Get involved in the Guardian stuff
  • The Codex gives you information about the Galaxy
  • Some QOL additions like night vision and orrey map

I believe that's most of the stuff that changed, so no major gameplay additions but lots of smaller improvements.

Thargoid bases.
Thargoid battles
Generation ships
Megaships
Gaurdians (various - things in space, on planets, new things to unlock/find)
Mining
Exploration changes
New interstellar "objects" out in the black
Scenarios

We need huge AX weapons more. Preferably something with a good penetration value, like a Cannon.

its an incorrect statement to say "we need huge AX weapons more" because it don't prohibit or exclude ships from content, whereas lack of small does.

not that im against huge AX weapons, but its certainly not a higher requirement.

There is already small Guardian weapons, but there is neither Human AX nor Guardian weapons in huge size. Therefore the need for huge AX weapons is greater.

Thank you for all the positive responses... tbh when i went to sleep last night wasn't expecting the thread to turn positively but glad it did.

You all gave me a lots of great ideas I'll prioritize after I finish off my post captain to rear admiral progression. I am at 45% so I'll button that up first. Next, based on the comments, seems like I will definitely check out the new mining mechanics first, so will check out the vid posted in this thread. I think I'll defer finishing off Palin for grade 5 dirty drives for a bit longer.

Another question when looking over the new right hand panel. What happened to all the financial statistics? Did that get removed? I poked around quite a bit and could find things like total asset value etc...
