Actually, having spent quite a lot of time drinking with members of the Winged Hussars (Poland) at several Lavecon's now I may even have to extend that to Eastern Europe. Damn - they're letting any old riff raff into Lavecon these days! Where will it all end ... Americans? God forbid!

The distinction probably would be clear to anyone who has to factor an international plane ticket ontop of the entry fee. In practice even with a good faith intention to take part as customary it’s a bit of an exclusive club.

Maybe you could ask the organisers if you are allowed to host lavecon in your country at the same date? Connect both events with livestreams... It's probably a lot of work, but there is a chance for an exclusive paintjob...
