And thats before you take into account all the uncontrolled variable levels of infrared and ultraviolet radiation, and lets not even speak of the wildly variable temperatures, or.... water precipitations.
That's just horrible. When I was receiving my secondary level Imperial education on an Imperial tourist world (glass domes with controlled atmospherics, jungles with exotic artificial birds, a few generations of imperial slaves conditioned into carefully constructed native cultures with cargo cult religions), they used to tell us ancient Earth still had neanderthals. They looked something like this to survive the horrible environment there, as they had very few glass domes. That's why Sol people want to steal Imperial glass domes to this day, given a chance.

When I log into the game, I log into the game world. When I'm in the game world, I want the game world to make as much sense as possible. Whether the sense consists of the waving of the hands, is irrelevant. You learn about the quirks of the game's behaviour and incorporate those into the gameworld. Plus, from the pilot's chair, I have made many interpretations of ambiguities in that gameworld, in order to keep it making sense. This is not odd. We all do this in all games, to varying degrees.

Introducing other players to that gameworld will often not fit in how I am explaining the gameworld to myself. This is one of the reasons for instance I did not particpate in the many games at Beagle Point 2 at the end of Distant Worlds. Wouldn't fit into my game world. Instead I went to Beagle Point 3 and went to explore a huge foggy crater with the entire Milky Way above me as skybox. Another example is gankers at Shinrarta. Or Distant Ganks. It's only when I log in without the intention to emerge myself in favour of just clowning around, I'll expose myself to these.

That's why interacting with players in the forum is preferable. The forum's gameworld is this world, and all you little figments of my imagination do fit into that perfectly.

Let's see...
Burke: Add the ADS again!
Robert Maynard: Open PvE sounds like a good idea.
Rubbernuke: How about fixing PP?
Old Duck: I would complain about EBL, luckily I bought a notebook. I suggest everyone should dust off his router at least once per week.
Kenneth: Small Seismic Charges anyone?
Flimley: \o/
Stigbob: There are no bugs if you act like they aren't there.
T.j.: Nothing of this is my fault. (it is)
NNE: Engineers killed the game.
Stuart: posts meme
Stealthie: Strangely relieved not to be in that list.
M00ka: me too
Ziggy: I just want to watch the world burn Mr. Babelfisch.
Pink haired clowns: Make the game open only or we kill it.
FDEV: Something is going to happen soon, we are so excited.

Sounds very predictable to me.

Obvious fake, no LEP usual suspects in the list.

To be fair I don't deny bugs exist, they just don't bother me and I tend to expect them.

Saying there are none at all is reserved purely for taunting the forum undead into the deadly sunlight of positivity 🧟‍♂️+☀=☠.

You missed me posting a cynical one-liner and a smiley

Valid point. Aren't we all npc's in mmos as well though?
Ok, I can see why there's been a misunderstanding there. NPC = Non-Playable Character. You'd only use that term to describe the AI within a game. Even within the game, players are made to look different than NPCs (hollow v solid squares/triangles on the radar) to make sure these are seen to be different.

I see what you mean now though: communication with people is easier on the forum than in game.
