Anyone else psyched by Death Stranding on PC?

I'm willing to give it a try based on the strength of Metal Gear V, which I think is awesome. I haven't watched/read any reviews so I haven't the foggiest what people are saying, but I rarely use them to make pre-purchase decisions anyway.
Mgsv was awesome, too bad they cut kojima off early :( there was a chapter with eli on an island, some unfinished cutscenes are in the files

Wait, what? When did you ask me that? And what is the question anyway?
My bad. You said that you thought MGS5 was awesome, so I assumed that you would partake in the "PvP" elements of said game.

You're actually confusing me now. Are we both talking about Phantom Pain? With Forward Operating Bases, and Private Forces as "PvP" meta gameplay?

:) go back a couple of posts. I'll wait.
Ah, I missed that earlier. Not really. When I played it I tried to keep it solo play as much as the game would allow. It looked fun, but I wasn't particularly keen on the idea of my bases being fair game even when I wasn't playing, and because of work/family constraints my time was very sporadic so I couldn't really engage it consistently. Now that you mention it though, I'm actually starting to get the urge to start a new playthrough and really delve into that aspect. I usually have some slow time around the first of the year, so maybe I'll give it a whirl.

Edit: believe it or not, the only game where I've fully embraced PvP was Elite Dangerous. Typically I prefer my story driven adventure games solo

Ok. You've been missing out my friend. It's the MGSV that you play after you've played the main story. :) Don't worry about taking damage, it's easy to get back, either via infiltration of other player FOBs, or the NPC FOBs (no retaliation). I've sunken over 1000 hours into the "grind" that is developing my base security and items, and invading FOBs.

Some say it's an aquired taste, but if you like the gameplay mechanics of MGS5 and enjoy PvP as I know you do, I think you might get a kick out of the PvP meta.

I'd love to hear what you think if you give it a whirl. But take your time, it's a whole other game. :)

That sounds like fun when you put it that way. Now I'm definitely going to start another play through and give that a shot!

Back on topic, two questions about Death Stranding: is it really coming to PC (the only system I game on), and is it a big game similar in size/scope to MGSV?

Yes. 505 Games has been confirmed as publisher (summer 2020):
https://nordic.ign.com/pc/30640/new...pc-will-be-published-by-505-games-not-by-sony

I've been trying to find out how big the meta game after main story is myself, haven't been able to find anything yet. But it seems logical that one should be able to continue to rebuild society after the main story. Much like MGS5.

Edit: and yes, it is considered a "big" game, with main story completion at up to 70 hours. Sounds very much like classic Kojima world building.
