What possibly the community challenge reward be?

Yeah... just 4 hours into the new community challenge I released 111 Gorillas, got all rewards and got +160.000 CC during this :O

maybe i should do that and generate myself a few million CC until they finally slow down the game and CC become more valuable. it kinda feels like abusing a glitch... if they intended this game to be that way they really should hire a few new game designer. cos right now this is utter crap. CC are basically worthless

the funny thing is, in a few weeks from now all animals are probably worth 1 CC in market in gold quality and people still have gazillions of CC left. great balancing :D

i wish they wouldve released the game a few months later and fixed all the bugs and balancing problems because the only fun thing in this game right now is building but not the animals. dont really like to play breeding simulator 2000

Where would I find this? My hub looks like this after booting it up again:

And on that note, why would only a select amount of tigers count towards an individual's achievements? The goal was to just breed tigers, right?

And I came to the same conclusion, the final rewards are not worth the effort of focusing on the challenge, even more if it is a speed contest instead of a community challenge. I'll also get the first rewards and then won't care for the challenge.

Thank you for pointing it out! I am quite blind apparently!

I got the same rank and percentile as you (despite, of course, breeding over 90 tigers). Did you get 500 CC? I'm not sure why all of the ones I bred didn't count.

I also got 500 CC and an animal with a red stat for life expectancy, so completely useless, although I bred 123 tigers...

Only bred one tiger, didn't get any rewards as far as I can tell :) Maybe I'm just too dumb xD Also holy cow, how do you get so many leaf points! I have like 500

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t pay attention to it or the other tabs. Their numbers are definitely off. E.g. I have adopted many more animals to keep lemurs etc, from inbreeding. And with the current challenge, the challenge itself has registered the 1 gorilla I released, the tab with released animals has 0.

Please fix that asap, Frontier! How can you run a challenge when you cannot even count the animals correctly? Not good!

Hiya, we're seeing everything correctly in the backend but, as we were having some trouble with Franchise Mode, it wasn't updating for you correctly. Your rewards should be representative of the numbers we have though, and hopefully the numbers you see will be fixed soon too!

While we're on the topic of gorillas, does anyone else get this when they look in the zoopedia? They're fully researched so I'm confused why I'm missing items.

How can the numbers be right? I bred over 100 tigers but only 49 were counted for the reward...

My conclusion was they only counted each birth/litter as 1 tiger bred and ignored the actual number of cubs per birth/litter.

In that case the challenge description is very confusing. Could we have an official answer on what was counted and how?

It's no way near bad enough to warrant it being called disgusting. It's an annoyance at best.
well the games focus should lay on the animals and creating a beautiful zoo for them. but you cant enjoy it one bit as everythings dead within minutes and at best its a breeding simulator. thats not how it should be. not even close. and they dont mention one ing word about it which makes it so i wont ever preorder anything from them anymore. learned my lesson. same with bethesda after fallout 76. i wont even buy games from bethesda anymore. cos that was an insult.

the only thing that i preordered lately and wasnt a disappointment was anno1800. quite a good game from the start with a few minor annoyances, that got talked about and fixed quite fast.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in the same boat as you. I'd prefer a slower time frame. I'd like it if not every animal with at least a 1% fertility chance would breed. I'd like to manage a zoo full of exotic creatures where I grow attached to my nearly extinct animals and actually celebrate when they breed rather than single handedly bring every near extinct animal back up to normal numbers just for the sake of some conservation credits or a silly hat.

However stating that the speed of the game is disgusting is a gross misinformation for anyone reading. You have every right to want it to be slower, every right to be unhappy and want a refund but please don't exaggerate the games downfalls, others may and do enjoy the game for what it is right now.

So I'm curious - how do you work around the absolutely insane food costs for a mass-breeding multi-pen gorilla(or tiger) zoo?

Or were you just buying gorillas for CC and releasing them? That seems the easiest option by far.

I am not going to judge the community challenge yet, I shall give it a few challenges to decide how I feel about it. But when I see the above post of someone releasing over 100 gorillas in less than 24 hours after the challenge has started, that any community reward for completing the goal appears to be awarded only if you are in the top 3 tiers of completing, and the high number of CC needed to even purchase one (let alone 3) of the needed animals, I wonder if it is worth it. (NOTE: I'm not saying that there was no reward for completing the challenge, just I don't know if there was)

Yes, I did manage to finish some of the unknown reward levels to get some of the rewards, but it took nearly the entire week playing each day as I could after work and when not busy with "social" activities. This is suppose to be a game and is suppose to be fun. I'm not sure if these community challenges will meet that definition if you need to be in the top 5% of participants.

I do enjoy challenges. If a game proves to be too easy, I do tend to lose interest. Which is why I like the franchise mode and the community challenges. I just wish that there was more information on what can be expected as rewards. It doesn't even have to be specific. Just a general: release 1 animal earn X, release 20 animals get 1 random animal of common variety, community challenge met, everyone gets X, and other rewards may be earned baserd on level of participation. Not saying that these are the rewards, just some type of information along those guidelines may be appreciated, especially for those who don't (or can't) run the "puppy mill" type of zoo.
