Tionisla Graveyard in Beyond?

I just made a suggestion thread somewhere along the lines of this, space grave yards etc.
So yes i'd love to see something like this implemented in ED.
I remember that, and if I remember correctly it was ignored by FDEV like all other requests and this thread as well.
I mean... is it such a big effort to jump in and say "hey guys nice requests, I will pass it to the dev team and let's see if they have some space in the pipeline for it"?

I visited a debris field (a common signal source) in Tionisla once, and was like, whoa this is it then? Meh. Later got a bit imaginative about it. Perhaps they added a debris field like that, but it was just that and nothing more, and then they kinda removed it. All kinds of weird stuff happens in this game, dev's must think it has a mind of it's own at this point.

Lore canonicity has been such a strange element sometimes. Elite : D can never fully escape it's lore, and it's legacy, but there is plenty of space to do stuff.

Well in fairness to Frontier i only made the thread today. Maybe someone else made a similar suggestion before?

Drew was never an Fdev employee and thus his feelings are not valid to cancel all of Elite Dangerous lore.

He wrote a great deal of the lore along with FD. If memory serves he was the originator of the Graveyard so he's in a good position to know.

Plus, its a bit hard to argue against it when FD have killed off the incidental and ongoing lore of the game.

People would probably take it is a sealed and signed contract.

The Tionisla Orbital Graveyard was created in the 1984 novella "The Dark Wheel" written by Robert Holdstock. It was included in two official books reviewed and signed-off by the Executive Producer of Elite Dangerous, Michael Brookes. The books from the Elite Dangerous era are Elite Encounters RPG, written by Dave Hughes and Premonition, written by Drew. The organization that placed Rebecca's cobra in the graveyard was the Tionisla Historical Society and is mentioned as the curators of the graveyard in both books. I am an official representative for the Tionisla Historical Society. When Drew found out about our campaign he connected me with the originator of the THS himself.

Then I stand corrected, thanks for filling that in.

The problem still stands though that FD don't see lore as an essential ingredient of the game, or, at least the old lore which has been forgotten, and current lore that was established when ED began. 2020 might be a faint hope though.

Yes but FDEV would ignore it anyway if they don't care... (ref. Ice Planets, Fleet Carriers plus all D. Braben promises during the KS).
Why yes, people do take everything as a promise.

No matter what FD does, people are going to whine about it. People whined about bugs, and when they fix the bugs they whine that they weren't doing other things instead of fixing bugs. People on these forums are determined to complain, the subject varies but the outcome is predetermined.

What I'm saying is that I agree with you, people would believe so, but this has never been a problem for FDEV (ref. above) so this is not a good reason for them not to show up here.

And what I'm saying that it doesn't really matter if they show up, because people are going to be mad either way. So why say things to no avail and risk having something taken as a promise when you can just not do that?

I don't believe they believe to run into troubles. That's only our interpretation.

People whined about bugs,

talking for me, yes. more like criticising/mocking but, yeah, call it 'whining' if you think that it somehow gives any weight to your argument. it doesn't.

talking for me, no, just no.

that's right, people on these forums make up stuff about people on these forums to substantiate whatever point of view.

How about they finally improve on what they have......
.....Rather than release the same things with new pretty set dressings for idiots to post selfie pics on the forum...

If only everything was about you, as you so clearly assume. Did you have a point, or were you just not getting enough attention?
