Very unexpected news! I don't have any interest in it, but good for all those people asking about a console version I guess.

I do hope this doesn't mean the pc edition won't get anymore love from Frontier... I've seen quite an uptick in the numbers om Steamcharts and heard Silvarret say the sales have increased again, so I guess there's still hope.

This console port is definitely good news for Planet Coaster. Frontier won't stop developing for the PC version, the console version will most likely have DLC made alongside the PC version.

Besides, a console port will increase the player base for Planet Coaster. So hopefully this confirms support for the game will continue for awhile :)

This is alright.

I just hope that Frontier doesn't go into making PlanCo 2 with "console friendly features" in mind. If they do, then I doubt we'll get a better path tool or other needed improvements in PlanCo 2.

Thanks to the work and improvements being done for the console version, we actually have a Quality of Life update for PC players, planned for next week! Please keep an eye on the forums for more information on when that update goes live. This is the activity you've been seeing on Steam as well, nothing more.

Also, no hate to Silv, but he's not a Frontier employee and does not have a record of our sales :ROFLMAO:

We, pc people, have been waiting for months on what is happening to Planco. I don't get this announcement as the game comes to a screeching halt in bigger parks...and on very high-end PC's. I would rather you fix the Win7 DX11-Win10 DX12 issue so we can have the bigger parks realistically.

I think a Switch version would be pushing it. It would get to the point where they'd have to make so many limitations, it wouldn't feel like Planet Coaster anymore. Interested to see how much they had to limit for the Xbox and PlayStation version

If a more powerful switch comes it could come I am just upset because Switch is selling like hot cakes and I think Frontier doesn’t even care about the switch because there hasn’t been any games for it yet I don’t know why they not try to port RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 on Switch

I understand Silv isn't an official source, I certainly didn't mean to imply that. Curiosity got the better of me...

Only love and enthusiasm for the game here :D

Looking forward to the influx of new PlanCo players on console and the QoL-update next week!

Will these quality of life updates include controller support for PC? This is the thing stopping me from playing Planet Coaster again and also why I haven't bought Planet Zoo yet!
I have a Steam controller, which works ok but full controller support would really help
