I dont know why people are doing the Fed one. An Outpost. Yup lets limit how big they can get and not have a Large Pad. Its like shooting yourself in the foot with a gun that shoots a smaller foot.
Maybe they are more likely to achieve the rank to get a discount Corvette than they would be to do the same for the Cutter, or already have the Cutter or even don't like the Cutter or the Empire.

Remember not everyone is an altruist.

Feds: 721/1,342,340 (approx 1880tpc)
Us: 398/795,899 (approx 2000tpc)

There's just more of them than there are of us. Hopefully they have more part-timers who'll get bored when low-hanging fruit is exhausted. Or they eventually see sense and realise the benefits of a Large pad...

Anyway, 5kt done. Plenty more available nearby. Let's keep at it.

I think the problem is with all of the "Video Reporters" like Obsidian Ant and Down to Earth Astronomy are showing large stations in there clips when mentioning the Federal Goal.

Outpost here we come...

Well, between the Federalists, the Golconda "ethicists" and the anti-imperials, you can soon add the CG opportunists who'll jump on the bandwagon as the Fed CG gets better rewards quicker.
Seems like there's fewer of us who want be the the adults in the room and get better overall facilities for the galactic community (L pad).
No matter. Those Capitalist pigs won't see a single unit of cargo off me.
For the Empire!

I know right? These extra Large pads would have brought peace with the Thargoids, cured cancer, and caused the Empire to free the slaves. We’ll just have to make do in a galaxy with only 5,782,567.42 large pads.

I know you’re just role playing, but I do enjoy the irony of complaining about Capitalism while you’re making millions selling cargo.

Feds are pure capitalists. Ruled by corporations under the premise of democracy. The real irony is that Federal supporters believe they're free whilst doing exactly what they're told without question.

If I wanted to make money I'd be away mining. This, to me, is charity.

But the money will just go to donation missions to get the rank for the discounted Cutter next month so it will all end up back in the Empires hands to be used for the communal good.

I think for a lot of people the only decision in choosing a faction is Cutter or Corvette. The Cutter rank is insanely easy to grind, and the Corvette is the only real challenge as the data missions aren't as easy to do as they are for Empire. Couple this with a promised DOUBLE rank bonus for whichever faction wins, its obvious that most people (myself included) are going to side with the Fed's.

Tbf, as GraphiteGB has previously mentioned, when CGs/IIs involve Superpowers, it's usually the Feds who 'win', whether there are benefits or not. 🤷‍♀️

Ahhhhhghhhh!!!

So, I went to pick up from supplies, my Cutter got stuck in something while I was trying to land - at this point I was violating the landing pad rules, and I couldn't get free even when boosting so.....BOOM!

Next time try logging to Main Menu, When you log back in it will place you away from the station

Exactly this. Ngallin-Mainani absolutely craps all over Ceos Sothis for rank grind.

For this reason, I shall be delivering my cargo to the Feds.... in a Cutter.

I got all my Imp ranks when that one update came out back around Mar 2018 that made ranking super easy before they nerfed it again. I got my Fed rank way before that. I'm just doing the CG for charity work to get these people a planet and not a shoe box.

They will still live in a shoebox on a planetary station with windows on a grey rocky world or other dull view... No way to play football on the grass or anything like that, its practically the same as an outpost. If their faction will helped by cmdrs, they can do expansions into other systems and starports, maybe to earth-like worlds, later. The pro is the large pad to dock - the con is you must do a time-waster landing to reach that.

High paying Beryllium item is requiring more and more jumps to get a full cargo rack... expect by tomorrow the distance thats required will force players on to doing 140ly round trip to make high money...
That will be to much for many feds and they will move on to the lower paying Thallium with planet based landings... they will be slowing down... not the empire catching up
Day two has started...
1,801,580 emp.. vs 3,463,558 feds...
768 vs 1,542

I was so busy attempting to break free of whatever caught me, I forgot to try that. I took my punishment like a man (barely), and swallowed the 13M CR fines/rebuy. Still managed to get 3 loads in last night, will get a few in tonight, even if the silly Feds are forcing those poor people to live in a tin-can.
