190 Proof. Cleaned out the cabinet last night and drank up the mostly-empties with friends, so I just saw it. It's waiting for a few mixed drinks - apparently we're making some kind of Klingon drink on Sunday, though I forget the name. You mean this one?

Because there's also the 151 Proof version that's a bit more common.
I usually use somewhere between 1.5 and 2 bottles of this stuff every year...
1.5 goes into making chocolate covered cordials, the other half bottle goes into me.
Though these days it usually goes in in the form of 1-1.5 shots in a glass of Juice of the Day, rather than just as shots. It helps ensure they stay there.
The main issue with anything containing that Vol of alcohol 95%, is that if you open the bottle; it will evaporate, at room temperature. Keeping anything at a higher Vol, is very hard, as it will evaporate, through such things as cork, etc.. For the Angels, of course. You mean this one?

Chech'tluth maybe? Drop in a few chips of dry ice for the smoking effect.190 Proof. Cleaned out the cabinet last night and drank up the mostly-empties with friends, so I just saw it. I'm not sure, it's somebody's birthday, I'm bringing simple syrup and lime juice. I've already bought enough Absurdly Large Goblets™ for the table so we'll see what happens.Chech'tluth maybe? Drop in a few chips of dry ice for the smoking effect.
If I were doing such a thing, I would use a thumper. This reboils the liquids at a technically, below water boiling points, thus, you get as close to as you can get, pure alcohol. Just don't drink the first 2%. It WILL kill you. There’s a big difference between ABV and proof, also a difference between US measure of proof and UK. That dangerous stuff there, 95% by volume? Crazy, it’s actually hard to ’still something to that volume! usually you get a good run level and liquor back. Made some gin with hops a couple of years back, smelt like sprouts! Eventually it settled back though.
Bucky! Ha! Many adventures!
That looks like regular fuel. Go down to Brazil:You cmdrs are lightweights, this is where I get my supplies from:

As a brewer, you know that you only get back, what you put in. Hygiene, careful preparation and a little luck, will always give good results. These things are just as important to the distiller, as they are to the brewer.Yeah, most big distillers do throw some of the heads back in. It’s complicated stuff, studied it for years before getting any done. To be honest I stick to my ordinary brewing, beers and that(60litre nano brewery). I read somewhere that orange juice has a higher percentage of methanol (the stuff that damages your optic nerves) than if you were to leave it in (I wouldn’t anyway!) , that the reason people associate home distilling with methanol poisoning is due to unscrupulous non licensed idiots. Looking at the other nasties in the first running’s, formaldehyde, toluene, etc etc. Nasty! Luckily I have a booze shop so get it at cost now!
The water. Which is the key to everything.Too right ‘arry, sound advice! Just finishing the brew house, be better than my old garage was. Has wipe clean walls now. All the old yeast library chucked, start again! Even the vac packed two year old frozen hop packs, binned. looking forward to getting a mash on!
Anyone have any ED related recipes?
I made an imperial stout that was almost as dense as a black hole once.
we are really lucky here in Cornwall, soft lovely water, it’s a dream to brew with!
