Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park and Update 1.12 - What we know so far

Well, that’s the point of some of my questions regarding the aviary.

If the aviary has a JP style for that setting of aesthetics, and assuming aviaries will be a thing for your Jurassic World parks, I wonder if the aviary will have a more modern JW style for that aesthetic era set as well. Same goes for the pteranodon, if it will have the JPIII style for the DLC, assuming will be available for your JW setting parks, will this mean the pteranodon will obtain it’s JW saga design as well?

These are unanswered questions I want to bring out to consider until further information.
The JP3 Pteranodon was a male while the JW Pteranodons were all females without the crest.

Thank you AGAIN Frontier - just giving us amazing stuff hand over fist, juggling Jurassic World and Planet Zoo and always being fantastic with both!

So crazy excited for this pack!! There’s so much to it and I love the nostalgia. I’m gonna be overseas for a month when the pack drops (we leave two days before) but at least when my holidays over, I’ll be propped up with this!

Not to be greedy, but I feel like the obvious next pack has to be an Owen Grady pack, right (with Chris Pratt doing the actual voiceovers)? ;)

I was watching a video by BestInSlot and he said we can't mix up the buildings. Meaning JP buildings can't be used in the JW part of the game. I don't know if this extends to the sandbox or not. So the aviary me be a JP only thing. Hopefully not for JW fans sake.
Yes, it does apply to sandbox and challenge mode (building re-models are not available in the base campaign). As far as I can tell, you select the era before starting the park and can't change it after.

I'd say it's almost guaranteed we'll be able to use Pteranodon in the modern era, considering every other animal from the DLC will be available, though I'm not sure that it would necessarily get a new building skin, it depends on how much overlap is allowed for the modern era in regards to things like the Visitors center, Helipad and Jeep Transport that have modern equivalents, but aren't the same building.

With the newest trailer, we noted that the species profile cover 16 animals, with 6 of those animals shown.

I do not think we would get all species profiles showcased, but if the number is true then we could deduce the animals that will get legacy skins/updates.

So far this is the list of animals, divided from trailer, to known, and unknown.

Trailer:
1- Tyrannosaurus
2- Triceratops
3- Compsognathus
4- Stegosaurus
5- Velociraptors
6- Pteranodon

Known:
7- Brachiosaurus
8- Parasaurolophus
9- Dilophosaurus

Unknown/yet to be revealed

10- Ankylosaurus
11- Ceratosaurus
12- Gallimimus
13- Corythosaurus
14- Pachycephalosaurus
15- Spinosaurus
16- Mamenchisaurus

This is all speculation. The idea of the last section of the Unknown/yet to be revealed are based on the last remaining dinosaurs that made a notable movie appearance. I removed the metriacanthosaurus and baryonyx as both are not truly shown in the movie, and the proceratosaurus and herrerasaurus for the same reason and that they are DLC exclusive dinosaurs that are obtained separately from the main RTJP dlc.

If this theory is true, then we could expect a full JP rehaul of the main JP dinosaur cast! Which is really exciting as we get to have a true JP variant of these creatures and their Jurassic World depiction all in the same game!

Looking forward to the future! :D

We haven't seen the JP Gallimimus yet. The Spinosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Corythosaurus and Ceratosaurus already look like their film versions. I have heard the Mamenchisaurus doesn't look exactly like the TLW version so maybe it will get redone.

I don't know what else they could possibly be.

I think we could safely assume Gallimimus is another one (and I really hope so, because it looked sooooo much better in JP!!!).

But the remaining species are more problematic. I wouldn't rule out Metria and Baryonyx, one was in the basegame and the other was part of a free update and both featured in the original roster; Metria even named onscreen. And, if they turn out to receive new skins, I think Herrera and Procerato will as well, even if they are part of a DLC. Any other species wouldn't make much sense.

So I watched a couple videos a while ago and they all seem to point towards breeding possibly being a thing in the JP DLC. Of course this is all speculation and Frontier hasn't promised this in any way. So if you get your hopes up for baby dinosaurs in the DLC and end up disappointed it's pretty much your own fault.

So the speculation revolves around a few things. One has already been debunked. The post its on the side of the monitor are just a nod at what was seen on Nedry's work desk and computer.

But some other good points were made. The screenshot of the Stegosaurus is interesting. It looks like a smaller younger version of an adult Stegosaurus. It's not a hatchling or baby by any means but it looks like a juvenile or sub adult. The way planet zoon handles the idea of breeding and young animals in the game is that one day they just appear and eventually they just grow into adults. Maybe Frontier took some of what they learned in Planet Zoo and applied it to this game.

Another point is that having to create all those different models would be a lot of work, which it would be. But it would be less work if you only did it for the 16 dinosaurs we will obviously see in the DLC. I think there is something like 66 or 67 dinosaurs in the game now. You cut that down to 16 and it's much less work for new models. To make it even less work they don't hatchlings or the really young baby dinosaurs. As you can see with the Stegosaurus in the screenshot there is a huge difference between it and the others we see. It just looks a bit smaller, the plates on the back look smaller.

Frontier said the DLC would contain multiple gameplay features that we haven't seen before. It could be anything but one we haven't seen yet and that's been asked for a lot is baby dinosaurs. Frontier seems to be delivering on a lot of requested gameplay features that many though wouldn't happen and we would never see except in a sequel.

The final piece of evidence is BestinSlot said he has been to a JWE event. He said there will be a video on Tuesday, he can tell us more then so I imagine he is under some kind of NDA. But the main point is that he was really excited. He emphasized that we will want to see this video. That means there is going to be some big announcements revealed. We have already seen a few of the redesigned dinosaur models, the skins, the gate just about everything involved with JP. What else could there other than a breeding?

Of course limited breeding. Limited only to dinos from the first 3 movies. I am sure if this is true some people will complain. It is what it is.

I hope this is true cause I really want a Juvenile Rex and some raptors. Those juvenile Compy's will be nearly microscopic. lol

Interesting. That would be much, much more that what I could possibly have dreamed for the 1993 DLC.

However, on a side note, breeding within those species would also make total sense, as one of the key failures of the original Park was uncontrolled breeding so, if anyone were to return there, chances are they would find breeding animals...

When it comes to the Bestinslot event that he'll tell us about, considering the last youtuber event was the 24 hour livestream, I reckon that it might have been a JWE themed charity event organised by Frontier.

I don't think so. I think he has some interesting news about the JP DLC. I don't think it will be about charity. If it was he would have said so.

That's the thing, it's really early for it, especially for an NDA to be lifted about it (Lasted literally till the day before launch for the other two).
As far as I gather he's not even supposed to say that he knows something (he pretended to be be oblivious to anything in the vid before Claire's Sanctuary, despite being known to have played it at the time).
Whatever it is, Frontier will break the news as well, but I get the feeling it isn't content.

Any new teases? Like more new dinosaurs or content/news?
As far as new information, we should expect a new feature focus this wednesday.
Also, Bestinslot made a rather interesting announcement where he wishes to disclose information this tuesday, so we may hear something new either for the DLC, update 1.12, or maybe even update 1.11.

So far anything is up in the air in terms of what could be announced this tuesday. So I am waiting to see if anything new comes up.

Also, I do want to point out that there is a steam DB of another DLC, so maybe we may get a dinosaur pack similar to the cretaceous pack last year. But again, let us see what tuesday and wednesday brings :)

Can someone give me a list of some of the confirmed contents that's coming? I know that compys and the flying dinosaur are confirmed . But what other content are confirmed to be coming in the dlc/free update?

Cause there's alot of youtube videos that say this is confirmed but other ones say different things. It gets me confused. So can I have a list of all that is confirmed so far? Thx:)

I doubt he is going to tell us everything. There is a new feature focus coming on Wednesday so an NDA being lifted on Tuesday isn't that surprising especially if he is limited in what he can share.

I know he had been playing the game before everyone else. I believe his videos of certain things are prerecorded. I don't think he pretends to be surprised or anything. It depends if Frontier is letting him have access to the DLC before everyone else. Of course he could just be pretending to be surprised. But it seems way to genuine IMO.
