Today's update is a bit earlier as I have other things happening this evening and tomorrow I will do the update probably in the early afternoon or even late morning so that everyone can see what they are aiming for on the final evening. I'll post a preliminary final leaderboard on Monday but there are 24 hours to submit the times from the final day, so it won't be until after that time is up that I can confirm the winning times. Any run started before 23:59:59 in-game time on the final day, Sunday 24th November 3305, will be in time to be considered.
There has been one new entry in each class today and CMDRs improving their time in the same ship. In Regulation Hauler, CMDR Skipsophrenic has submitted a time of 33:23 in the
Bucky Brick, making him the second XBox CMDR to submit a time. Welcome and I hope you enjoyed the race! The Regulation Hauler is quite a challenge in its own right, with a D-rated power plant making heat management a useful skill. A number of CMDRs have been cooking their ships but the
Bucky Brick returned home with modules above 50%. At the top of the table, CMDR Bob Dubrovnik has persevered and managed a time of 25:20 in the
Hypergolic, placing him in 1st as things stand. He believes a sub-25-minute time is possible...
In Unlimited, there has been a new entry from CMDR crotalus in his Viper MkIV
Angelensis, with a time of 22:38 in a rare anti-clockwise run. With the leaderboard now having many Imperial Couriers and DBXs, the oft-overlooked Viper MkIV has placed 19th. Several CMDRs have improved their times, in particular CMDR Sulu with a remarkable run in his DBX
The Crimson Haybaler that was undertaken in its entirety with 4% health after a collision leaving Conway City but at 20:01 not quite able to gain a place. Also favouring the DBX , CMDR MIKEY99 has built a new one from scratch, the
DBX Superlggera, and engineered it with lightweight components, enabling him to improve his time to 28:25, gaining a place in the process. Once more there has been an improvement at the top of the leaderboard, with CMDR Shaye Blackwood breaking the 16-minute mark in his Imperial Courier
Fireball, with a time of 15:54 which is almost a minute ahead of second place. As we head into the final day of racing, is this lead unassailable, or is there another surprise waiting in the wings?!
