So a few weeks ago I became a Star Citizen.
There is more content in the game than in other games I played.
I see one of our mods already nuked the rule-breaking post, noice!
Yeah, sometimes I wish folks would just come on here and simply say they liked playing SC for what was there and stop muttering the Star Citizen mantra spouted by the misguided on reddit and elsewhere...it doesn't do anyone any favours at the end of the day.You mean eternally delayed, bloated with feature creep, and and a rip off of every sci-fi (and non-sci-fi) trope out there? Don't be so hard on yourself!
You see, its comments like this that moves the discussion from being taken seriously into the grounds of ridicule. We can all see exactly what SC has and what it doesn't, and compare to other games, and to say that it has more content than other games either means you are talking out of your rear end or the last game you played was Jet Set Willy.
Or when it's new and has nothing different at all....Just because something is new and different

When someone does appear on here and rant on about how fantastic Star Citizen is, how full of content it is, how technically wonderful it is...they're sure playing something way different than I'm playing every night...it's not a stretch to enjoy playing SC, I certainly do... after all, it's not all bad by any means and it's certainly improving...but lets not get any more into fantasy territory.

Any examples for this? It is something I have heard citizens say but I can never get any answers for what they are comparing it to.
Help me Doc Orange, you're my only hope!
hey stop comparing SC to jet set willy, at least JSW was a great game, hell even horace goes skiing was better than SCYou mean eternally delayed, bloated with feature creep, and and a rip off of every sci-fi (and non-sci-fi) trope out there? Don't be so hard on yourself!

Fallen Order really sucks. They have put together badly implemented Metroid (all unexplored pathways are marked on map), badly implemented Titanfall (enemies placed on platforms they have no way to reach and acrobatics for the sake of it) and badly implemented Dark Souls (clumsy slow lightbaton instead of swift and deadly lightsaber). The synergy of that makes you experience tedious encounters again and again. The only thing that is good is the implementation of cinematic. Not what they show you, but how they show it.I just finished Jedi fallen order. what a truly forgettable jaunt that was. bland story served by even blander characters. (so memorable I can't even remember the protagonists surname) the ending was a "so why did I just spend 20 hours doing all that stuff?" moment saber combat was solid enough but nowhere near enough 1 on 1 saber fights with enemies. even force unleashed or jedi academy were more enjoyable /memorable games (I remember the protagonists and story of those) the story for fallen order could have been written on the back of a beermat
Ah, "fun" again. Guys, please have a look at thisSo you can decid YOURSELF wheather it looks like fun.
In my post (Link) I gave many examples of gameplay types I really like. But let me give you a deeper example of some gameplay. SC has so called "bunker" missions. I link a video below for the pure bunker type (the video is NOT from me - I dont even know the creator). The normal gameplay is like this. And remember, during all of the content I describe, there is no break or loading screen!
Lets start. You fly your spacecraft to a planet (Hurston). Sometimes you are interdicted by a NPC (players can do this also). Then you have a space fight with some NPCs/players. After you hopefully won you arrive at Hurston and get a "bunker" mission. You fly you spacecraft to the outside planet area. This is heavily defended by turrets so you land 1 or 2 km outside, take you ground vehicle and drive to the site. Then you go into the bunker and have a nive FPS fight. In the linked video you see sniper, assault gun and grenade kills). For this you have to be prepared with special guns and armor (different types, stats and optics) you can select from (die in style or survive ugly. After this you go back to your vehicle and drive back to your spacecraft. During this you have to take care about other players. When others join sometimes they are friendly and you will do the mission together with them, sometimes they are not friendly. If you want, after the fight you can visit Lorville, which is a city with shops, bars, mission givers...
Are there downsides? Yes, of course. Enemy AI is not so good. Sometimes the framerates are below 30, sometimes rubberbanding. But in sum (for ME) it makes a lot of fun.
Now I link some video examples to proof. So you can decid YOURSELF wheather it looks like fun. Dont let others decide for you!
The first 3 videos are actual or even older gameplay. Planet Tech V4 will come Dec 2020
"Bunker" mission from spacecraft arrival to FPS mission: Link Bunker mission
Lorville, a big city on planet Hurston: Link Lorville City
Planet Hurston with Planettech V3: Link Hurston landscape
Planet Tech 4 (coming in Dec 2020): Link Planet Tech V4
And I am just really interested in which games you are referring to, whether it's Helllion or CoD or some others. There is more content in the game than in other games I played.
So in essence, it's like every UBIbox game out there except with worse pacing and no real inherent opposition to speak of.Lets start. […]
It really doesn't. It also doesn't demonstrate any mass of content that would put any other game to shame. The first one has to be one of the most padded-out yet simplistic fetch quests I have ever witnessed. The others are just a bunch of scenery without any real content. Now I link some video examples to proof. So you can decid YOURSELF wheather it looks like fun.
That depends heavily on how you define those terms, but I'd say zero, two, and three. How many stars, planets and spaceports does this game have?
Yay exploration career here I come!!That depends heavily on how you define those terms, but I'd say zero, two, and three.
