That's too bad really. We could have had the best of both world. A peer to peer architecture and a subscription. And Arx obviously.

Ive told our friend here about 5 times that we had a choice between paid cosmetics. For some reason he thinks that means i think arx has always been the plan even though ive told him i dont.
I dont think Arx is a scam. I just think it was a total waste of development resource that worsened the in game shop and was pushed during a low content year in an unstable update.
There wasn't an in game shop before so it couldn't have worsened it, you are confusing imaginary things with real life again.

You have to avoid giving any detail if you don't want people to spot you've never actually played ED.

nah, im an old dude and i havent even played since the Arx crap was introduced. call me old fashion, but i liked just going to the store and giving them $5
Corect it wasn't an in-game shop but it was an in-game link to a web-shop which was physically different from the Frontier Developments store. A much more user-friendly method in my view but then again I really don't like the Arx price-masking and individual item
If you are paying in a currency other than those in the Arx store, every in store transaction costs me in value via exchange rate and actual $$$ in additional transaction fees. It's the cheaper, superior option for me..
Hate to tell you this but you can still give (technically pay because you get something in return) $5 but you now get a bag full of Arxs to add to the ones you get for free. Then you can uses these newfangled Arxs thingies to buy cosmetics for the game.
