I like that every five pages or so this thread just circles back around. Are people complaining about how ARX "hide" the prices again yet? Won't be long! Has somebody called it "free to play" again? Probably.

This thread has gone on so long because it's easy to just reintroduce the same rubbish over and over. And the effort required to disprove nonsense is magnitudes greater than the effort required to make it up.

Just like all those "I quit Elite" threads where instead of ignoring them most people don't seem to be able to resist adding some snide remarks.

Standard procedure seems to be flounce into the forum and dramatically announce you've decided to quit playing the video game immediately (sometimes repeatedly). Then feign a swoon when the entire internet doesn't immediately agree and follow suit. Weakly ask for the smelling salts when people pay attention to your attention seeking thread.

For bonus points call everyone who disagrees, the mods and the devs names. Whilst decrying the terrible state of internet toxicity.

For bonus bonus points stick rigidly to groaning about things with absolutely no basis in fact.

You know Stig, there is a very simple solution for FD to take to curtail these annoying 'I quit' posts. Since this is an official FD site and they can easily link the forum name to the player name, just have FD act on these 'I quit' posts. Once they are posted on here FD then has the authority to delete the player's entire game history (since all the good stuff is apparently held server side). Hey they quit, why should FD waste valuable server space on someone who has told the world they don't play the game anymore.

Yep, like this idea :D

Lol, evil I like it.

The only problem is lots of them are not actually ED players given they whinge about things like "no thargoids in the game" "free ARX is actually more expensive" and their odd fears about David Braben attacking them in their homes.

This thread is still going strong! I just bought myself some orange engine colors and a nifty military blue paint for my Cutter. All with free Arx too! I still have 1300 free Arx left! I'll save that and by the time Christmas comes I'll give some more love to my Asp Explorer. Thanks FDev, I for one appreciate it.
