Hear me out. The original JWE is VERY limited. And why is that? It's because of console compatibility. Planet Zoo has an amazing building system that we are so close to having for JWE2, but we might not get it because of universal's moneygrabbing.
It’s true, Planet Coaster Console Edition will release in Summer 2020 and here’s the trailer for it!What
Let’s also not forget that the next generation of consoles from both PlayStation and Xbox will be released next year, significantly more powerful than the current generation.Well, it all depends on how this turns out

“Two major new releases from internal development teams are currently planned for financial year 2022 (the 12 months ending 31 May 2022), one of which will benefit from a major global IP licence, as announced in March 2019, and will be released on multiple platforms.”Too late to hope, whatever on Earth this 2021 game really is, will be on PC only.

It’s already decided for multiple platforms. So the speculation and hopes for this 2021 game being PC only is completely out of the picture now.“Two major new releases from internal development teams are currently planned for financial year 2022 (the 12 months ending 31 May 2022), one of which will benefit from a major global IP licence, as announced in March 2019, and will be released on multiple platforms.”

Frontier is also targeting a number of other very significant future opportunities. This doesn't necessarily mean JWE2 is in development. I'm betting my money that it is going to be a long awaited, Jurassic World/Park type of survival/horror game that will coincide with the new movie in 2021. It would make more sense to release an entirely different Jurassic game than to release a JWE2. In my opinion, there is no need for a JWE2. Frontier can keep updating and releasing DLCs for the current game.

If Frontier were going to do anything other than a sim type game (i.e. survival horror) then I hope they'd bring in another team to develop and remain as publishers. I don't think they have the ability to release a good SH game - and that's not me having a go, it's just not the games they specialise or have expertise in to go it alone
I'd say the same about Harmonix releasing an RPG, or Bethesda releasing an online only FPS live service type thing (wait... what?)
JWE2 should remain in the same vein as RCT2 - it should build on the foundations of the first and make major improvements and additions to the base game. I'd like to say that they don't need to release a second, but IMO so many things in this game can't be fixed through updates, only through a new base game - examples being the lack of deep terrain tools (no water depth, no cliffs etc), the horrible path tools that don't sit flat but conform to hills, the lack of guest interaction/management to name a few
All they said was it "will be released on multiple platforms". Though they didn't say which platforms it will be on, it should be answer enough to confirm it won't be for just one platform (PC).It says it will be available in 2020 and it will be on multiple platforms. I didn't see anything about a PC exclusive unless I missed it.
I did see this.
I wonder if they are really working on some kind of JP/JW game that isn't a park builder/tycoon game?
