❄ Planet Zoo: Arctic Pack coming 17 December ❄

All packs will be € 10, but differ in content.

Probably not.

I base this info on my experience with Planet Coaster in case anyone is wondering.

PlanCo's dlc came in 3 different price variations. Ghostbuster's dlc was double the price of the ride packs and the mini Munsters/Back to the Future packs were half the price of the ride packs.

Fantastic news, the updates to the game and new animals and scenarios are a great end to the year. I have only got through half the animals in the base game so far as building my parks by region only and doing Asia first but will buy every DLC. DLC is optional and in no way needed to have a fantastic experience with PZ, if it's not value for money for you, don't buy it. I will be.

Appreciate the news coming out on both.

You guys really need to do expansion packs not stuff packs, all i care about is the animals and new features, getting 4 per pack is way too expensive. You easily could of turned this into an Artic expansion pack by adding more animals, new types of buildings, to go along with the new buildings perhaps also a new "Feature" such as a petting zoo. I'm much happier spending 40 dollars for an expansion pack where i get lots of stuff vs spending 10 for a pack that seems like i only get 4 animals, because the scenarios and building pieces doesn't do much for me.

Like sorry to hate, but I really hate how companies are steering away from expansion packs. Yes were gonna buy your little packs because we want more stuff but are we truly happy about it, no. I'll use sims 3 for example, I happily bought every single expansion pack, but didn't touch a single stuff pack because they were weren't worth it, but i had the options to choose the expansions over the stuff packs for more content, here and other games, if we want more stuff we are forced into buying the little packs.

I have to correct you.

All DLC's except the Ghostbusters where € 10,99. Ghostbusters was € 14,99 (that is not double). And the smaller packs where 2,99 (is not half, but more than half).

edit: And I did add this later on, while you where typing your response:

(Maybe a occasional one that is more expensive or cheaper, but baseline is € 10.

Not happening.

These are the kind of DLC's we'll get from now on.

4 animals, 200+ scenery pieces, 2 scenarios - 9.99 usd -- In my opinion, I think this is priced appropriately, but the 17th of December seems a bit early in the games life cycle to be releasing paid dlc. 3-6 months from launch would've been more appropriate. There will no doubt be people who will think that this content was purposely removed from the base game so that it could be added to a paid dlc for more money. I understand devs need to be paid. I'm grateful for the new content, thank you, but I think it's too early for paid dlc.

Who is this "we" you are talking about?
It certainy doesn't incorporate me, because I am definitely looking forward to additional building pieces and foilage - and I am willing to honor the work required with some money! (Personally, I could go without the two scenarios, but I know that others will appreciate them. That's why I don't write, that "we" dont want new ones ...)

My main point was the 3 different price variations after missing your edit.

Still, my questions were directed at frontier, not someone pretending to speak for them.

maybe is not you . but almost some people here wish for more animals , foliage and packs … and I also don't mind for the game developer released more dlc packs with more animals . I willing to pay them for their efforts. I willing to spend 35 usd on a pack if that packs have animal that I wanted

I don't pretend anything, and this is a public discussion board. Thanks.

ps. If you don't want people to argue with you, don't quote them.

Finally ... a sheeeeeep! :D
(Is it ok that I am more excited about the sheep than the polar bear?)

Do I understand this correct that the 200 building pieces are part of the DLC and not the free patch?
If so, I find the pricing fair (while still being annoyed by the cost discrepancies. But I guess this is Steam and not Frontier?)

I definitely would like to see an overview of the theme, though.

Don't worry, the polar bear is the animal I care least about from the four. :D

As I understand it, the building theme ice and snow comes with the patch and for free. With the DLC come 200 additional pieces scandinvian and mexican.

EDITED because I confused something here.

I am so glad that Frontier has made the choice to include extra scenarios in their first DLC even though I have a number still to complete. Otherwise I would of been a reluctant to buy it. as extra animals and scenery Is a bonus but not my main focus playing the game.

Yeah we did this one earlier in the thread... How long have they been working on it then given you state it's been 'released in a hurry to catch more money'? Do you not think they may have started work on this months ago with the plan of bringing it out just before xmas? It's a business, this is how things work. And I'm not sure exactly what any supposed bug issues have to do with this release. Are you saying they shouldn't release it depriving those who do want to buy this from getting more game content?

NB. guys, this isn't a request thread - please keep those elsewhere

Excuse me that my opinion somehow troubles you, but still I disagree with you.

The fact that there are still many bugs in the game is directly related to why this payable DLC feelsunappropriate. Currently, I'm only playing my zoo in pause mode, due to many issues with people walking on staff path, my animals starving to death as zookeepers never bring any food, and so on. As it is, the initial game is still kind of in a beta state, so selling additional content seems cocky to say the least.
The fact that it is one week before Chrismas is, you know it, exactly the reason. If the game was bug free since the launch as it should have been, I would understand. Now, the fact that a part of their team is working on a payable DLC prior to fix the initial game is really disturbing.

And I'm quite sure that this wouldn't have been the case if it wasn't for selling BEFORE christmas.I'm not against DLC per say, but additional content seems great when the initial content is stable. If not, it just seems dishonest, as people paid for the initial content, which doesn't work, and instead of working to fix it, they are working on additional payable content.

Sorry Mr pretend frontier spokesperson, but I never quoted anyone in my original post and I never quoted you until you quoted me, and I wouldn't even of quoted the pretend frontier spokesperson if I hadn't of missed the edit.

p.s this is a public discussion board, don't tell me what to do.

seriously you don't have even fixed all the problems in de basic game and you are already bringing out a DLC pack!!!
What load of .......
First start fixing your game before you start with any DLC!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, we also announced that update 1.1 (alongside this paid content) is full of free new content and bug fixes. The team are working super hard to continue making improvements to the game and fixing issues that have been reported. That doesn't stop, the two things are handled separately. And we are very dedicated to post-launch support and community feedback. If you have any bugs in particular you have been experiencing, are they already on the Issue Tracker? I'm happy to pass on some feedback and see if anything you mention will be fixed in 1.1 :)

Asking a question is receiving an answer. 😽
Otherwise you should have send a DM to Frontier instead of responding here.

Thanks for the support! It was not removed from the base game :) there's a dedicated team working on content, as well as everyone working on continued bug fixes, community content, and other improvements. Update 1.1 will be the next big step!
