Sandbox & Protestors

I disabled death... But if i disable animal wellfare, then there should be No warnings about food or drink, and especially No protestors. So what is the point of that setting :/

It's bugged and/or unfinished. It doesn't actually turn off welfare, it just turns off the appearance of welfare. So it looks like the animal is on 100% welfare but you still need to fulfill all the same things you needed to before in order to avoid protestors and whatnot.
 
Okay, that really is strange because I don't get the protesters anymore when I disable animal welfare.

As you can see one bear already died of dehydration and the other's about to but no protesters to be seen...

Now, as soon as welfare's enabled again...

...there they are, screaming their lungs out.

And like I posted earlier they leave and don't come back once I turn it off again, send the animal to the trade center and place it back in the zoo.

Really wish I knew why it works in my game but not yours so I could be more of a help, but sadly I've no idea about any of that :/

Damn, you're lucky. I was excited to be able to turn off welfare because I wanted to be able to make much smaller habitats for the Nile monitor and Komodo dragon (their space requirements are a bit silly in game), but as soon as I did I got protestors.
