Ships Chieftain Chieftain or Challenger?

I just got around to get myself some alliance ships yesterday, and only just realised that it's the chieftain and -crusader- which got engines on all wings. The challenger is the ugly . So that makes the choice easy! Chieftain for sure!

I've just upgraded to a Chieftain and I have to say it's a big step up from the small ships that I've been flying. Still getting used to combat but it feels quite effective at Nav Beacons killing NPC's. It tends to get quite hot though, what module should I engineer first to prevent this?

Power plant.

Armored will give you good heat efficiency as well as beefing up the module.

I use a Beam Laser with Thermal Vent. As Vedmo said Armoring the PP is a good option too if you can make it run properly. Use the Coriolis app to plan your build and make sure you have enough power.

Thanks for the responses. I will have to look into engineering both as I am using beam lasers.
I've also found that NPC's who are mining make easy targets, although I don't seem to be earning any money from it there are plenty of materials dropped to cargo scoop up. Assume this will help when I start on the engineering.
Just googled Coriolis that looks good, thank you!
