New PTU patch dropped..3.8.1i...as well as this load of theory crafting nonsense. It's just a continuation of the last pillar talk...filmed at the same time last year. Not a new trick from Ci¬G..splitting a video into 2 parts to make it look like new content...a bit like their patches.

That's pretty low, even by CIG's standards.

Guff about server meshing as well. I'm looking forward to seeing them try to implement it. Frankly i'll be shocked if it works as well as CIG have advertised and backers believe.

I must say, i do enjoy FIFA as a social game when you have friends around for drinks. It makes for a lively environment.
I play FIFA kinda like a solo RPG...career mode, only playing as me in single player and only controlling my own avatar...the rest of the team and players are all Ai and Ai controlled. I've never played multiplayer...or even tried it controlling the entire team :D

I haven't been playing much for the last few days...managed to rip to head off part of my right bicep making it a monocep and snapping most of the rotator cuff tendons in my right shoulder....

Ouch. Very. Sorry to hear that. Hope you can get as sorted as best you can. Keep taking the finest malt medicine as required.

For the resulting comments I'd love to see one of the first SC bobble-heads being the Banu Merchantman(?).

I just hope they don't implement hula-girl bobbleheads before Fdev, I'll be horribly conflicted if they do as these are clearly the best damn (space) bobbleheads ever.

They make Theatre of war sound like a scaled down version of SQ42. I'm beginning to wonder if SQ42 isn't anything, other than cutscenes.

Oh, comments section is full of snark. First bobbleheads, then this.

They're dragging their heels with all these interim bug fix patches...and dragging out the release of the Carrack as long as they can which is the only thing anyone is even remotely interested in...as shallow as that is. I'm certainly looking forward to it since there's not much else with current Star Citizen development to get that interested in...everything of any substance has already been removed.

We all know 3.9 has been decimated by a massive removal of any meaningful content and I suspect just after the eventual release of the Carrack signalling the end of the 3.8 patch cycle, the 3.9 roadmap will be further gutted of content leaving only the Microtec landing zone and Microtec moons, everything else will be swept off to some never-never patch sometime in the future.

The kind of move you can use when you want to pretend some people are still on board. By the way where is Erin? :)

Yet they can't help but brag about they'll soon announce what will be in 4.x...

Their are suggestions that this was recorded a while ago. It's kicking off!
It was...I noted a side by side comparison video of the last pillar talk video and this latest offering in #concierge chat on Spectrum. The first video where the discussion was the upcoming 3.8 patch...filmed last year a few weeks after Citizencon....same clothes, same cups and props on the table as this latest video. Either it was one video of approximately an hour split into 2 half hour segments and presented as 2 videos...or the participants can't afford more than one set of clothes...take your pick. Ci¬G didn't even have the sense to either outright state that fact or try to hide it. After the bobblehead nonsense, I don't think Ci¬G have even the sense to just cease with the ridiculous and frankly vapid videos featuring that idiot Disco Lando and just simply get a working patch out with the remainder of the gutted content actually left in 3.8.

If it's being pointed out and ridiculed in #concierge chat...you can just bet the natives are restless. I suspect the rest of the peasantry on Spectrum are already lighting the torches and dragging the pitchforks out of the sheds.

We'll never see patch 4.x...a realistic prediction ;)
I dont know mate.. Their demise has been predicted so many times before. By the Dark Lord and his goons or even people around here. Yet CiG are still running on fumes from their latest cash injection.. They may very well slap a 4.0 label on a meaningless patch and be done with it. What's absolutely certain is all bugs present today will still be there by then, from the increasingly sensitive physics engine to hovering above pads to get refueled. Cant see their dev cycle change directions all of sudden after 8 years now. We may also get a new ship or two, or a rework.. maybe a new armor set (by the way, people are still running faster than Benny Hill on accelerated mode, even when wearing heavy armor and heavy weaponry..) or a new weapon as these tend to pop up from time to time. But yeah from the gameplay perspective expect even more disappointment..

It was mentioned by Todd Papy that at some point, patch 4.0 will merely signify the erstwhile completion of the Stanton sytem from CiG`s point of contention...namely all planets and moons. A far cry from most of the old and equally defunct roadmap versions where 4.0 was to signify the move from alpha to beta and beyond...and yes, I remember all of those roadmaps and all of exactly the same noises from Ci¬G.

It still remains that continually adding fluff with little substance or gameplay associated with any of it...or any of the ships for that matter...Star Citizen isn't going anywhere near being a playable game any time soon.
Ci¬G are circling wagons again...similar as prior to the removal of every roadmap previously. We saw it all during 2.0 and 2.6 and now we're seeing exactly the same behaviour in 3.x. Ci¬G will likely now go mostly radio silent barring fluff additions until near the end of the year where they'll announce something new and exciting to string backers along into paying for the almost non existent PU for another year.

Theatres of war is merely a distraction tactic...they haven't got the finances or capital to invest enough resources into developing the PU much further at present so a mini-Star Citizen game mode using existing resources makes sense (for them). ToW will fall flat on it's face...trust me

Well, hopefully we can look forward to CIG releasing 4.0 in 2017 complete with farming and the ability to travel to other systems. I'm so hyped for this!
