I agree credits are easy to come by, but not in the quantities needed to buy fleet carriers costing 5,000,000,000.
You need to do very specific grinds in order to accumulate those kinds of credits, OR play for many thousands of hours with the sole intent of gaining credits. Which, until now was mostly unnecessary due to not having much to spend them on.
The cost is prohibitive, and that is likely by Frontier's design. Which is precisely what the problem with this content update is.
I disagree, Unless you really mean that to gain a massive amount of credits very quickly... If you wish to 'grind' away for a FC and had a zero balance you'd need to make 100 million credits (slightly less, but have some overhead) a day to be able to buy on release day... Or just wait a while longer and aim to make a little less each day.
I guess my normal is different than yours, because I never average anywhere near 50,000,000 per hour. Not when I'm exploring, or mining, or doing mission work, or combat, not ever.
I'm sure that kind of rate can be achieved with focused effort and grind, but that kind of play would just wear me out and bore me to tears. But that's just me.
No, interesting amounts per Hr. can be made in a variety of interesting ways.. A couple of hours exploring can raise 50+ milion if systems are chosen with high liklihood of many 'valuable' bodies - as an explorer you would know that already though
Sometimes.
When I am doing things which do pay I just don't earn credits per hour anywhere near 50,000,000:
- Sightseeing missions might pay a dozen million per hour on average, usually less.
- Exploring only nets me maybe 10-20 million per hour, usually much less.
- Mission board work is less than 10 mil/hr.
- Mining can get me a couple dozen million per hour, but nowhere near 50 mil.
- Combat is maybe 10 mil /hr, I'm not great at combat.
- Salvage work is something I really enjoy, but it pays peanuts.
- Trading can get me maybe 20 mil per hour, but usually less than that.
That's been my experience.
Why do you need 50 mill / Hr? What is this fixation?
Unless, of course, you only play for a few hours each week...
Sightseeing missions in Colonia can rake in far more than a dozen million an hour - a Beluga full of sighseers from an allied station doing 2 jumps each way to the Jaques beacons can nett many millions an hour...
Stacked missions (I do planetary scans) can pull in 30+ million an hour, much more if you do transport of goods...
But, if you have convinced yourself that you cannot do it, nothing I or anyone else says will make you think differently.
