When I look at whats happening in some countries at the moment, I am eerily reminded on how Harold lost the Battle of Hastings in 1066 . Had the English stayed on the defensive, they'd probably have won . But alas, spurred by idk what, at a certain point, they decided to charge downhill...and subsequently lost the Battle ( though Harold's death sure also played a big role ) .

The public need is different, merely an obstruction for droplets.
I'm using a homemade black mask over a surgical one in low risk settings.
I could just as well create a graphic showing : "Contact tracing and surveillance using mobile data" vs "Mobile Data not used", or "forced quarantine/isolation" vs "no forced quarantine/isolation", or "no hesitation in locking down/shutdown whatever, and population adhering to containment measures" vs "still debating whether containment measures are even necessary, and people breaking the relatively mild containment measures in huge numbers still/already ."

All citizens are advised to wear masks in public.
Case total 97, 6 deaths. 700 tests run to trace contacts. There is a new team appointed to monitor and oversee elder care facilities.
Testing resources will last 3 weeks more at current rate. Looking to source more.

Till April 15th, only essential workers are permitted out, at selected critical businesses or essential services. Gatherings larger than 5 prohibited. River and beach parties specifically illegal, with imprisonment as penalty. Houses of worship closed. No new passports to be issued, as borders are closed.
Overall, quite good.
New cases are less than 4/day still. No spike in cases so far.
Sandalous here too !I'd feel sorry for them, but they have stopped and seized medical supplies they produced or travelling through their country thag were bound for the UK.

How come when most climate scientists agree on global warming, it's scientifically undisputable, but when most physicians agree that zinc + plus a Z-pack + hydroxychloroquine is effective for treating Covid - 19 it's just anecdotal?
Several hydroxychloroquine treaments are being clinically tested, so I wouldn’t call it anecdotal. Few more weeks and we will see some results.

Just today, German experts explained again why complete clinical studies with sufficient and accurate sample rate under 100% control are required.
(stage/phase of infection, accurate prediction of the severity, clinical defeat due to medication vs. normal immune system victory, observed side-effects (which can include death with some meds) etc... .very complex)
The problem of course is, those full-scale clinical studies consume a considerable amount of time - all while time being a luxury and our Virus here is creating facts on the battlefield.

Most physicians could not agree with with such a statement because there is a fundamental lack of evidence to support it at this time and even those that believe it's the most effective treatment available would acknowledge that current evidence is anecdotal...because it hasn't been challenged with appropriate scientific rigor, yet.
It's anecdotal until the results of robust trials can be reviewed.
Individual/personal field experience is kinda the definition of anecdotal.

There IS consensus...it being : there is no evidence for the effectivity, the observed "benefits" are "anecdotal" - which is science language for "could just be luck, or concidence, or well...we dont know really . We also have no idea about any unwanted or even negative effects ."
