Are Gankers Pushing People Into Solo?

On the contrary, if a player plays in such a way as to ruin the enjoyment of game play of another player then the offending player is at fault not the one being offended, and claiming anything else is simply not true, it's the weakest defence of any action.
The only way your enjoyment can be ruined is through a multitude of your own decisions and mistakes. The methods to escape a player are the same for NPCs, as are the modules that will help you survive. Only through your own decision and mistakes can you get blown up

Well you can. You can fly cargo, fight in CZ against NPC's and so on and on. Of course by playing in open there is risk involved of some commander shooting you to pieces, but thats your own choice. If PvP possibility makes you fly less efficient ships thats just feature of mode you are playing in.
an easy example: 100 people own a pmf, this pmf enter in war.
another 100 people want to fight my pmf in that cz, its ok.

80 of they, do cz in solo. 20 of they do PvP meta ship in open. the 20 ships can litterlay ruins the effort of the 100 cmdrs, make they to have 50% efficiency than the 80 in solo. so, we have to make cz in solo, to counter the number.

Conclusion: forced me to solo, to defend my pmf

Not all players will have had the same experience - nor is there any need to play in Open if a player simply does not want to.
Once again didn't say they should. My point was that there is fun to be had playing in Open. Open does NOT mean PVP. The most fun i have had in game was with another player (who i had only just met) racing around on a planet seeing how far we could get boosted by geysers. Not a single shot was fired.

Your keep making it sound like the only reason to go into Open is to PVP and that is far from the truth.

To Kira: Well yes. Or do you want some magical bigger input in influence just because of mode you have chosen?
not bigger, just a bit. 1 cr of combat bonds in solo, count as 1.25cr in open, for example.

Edit. or way better, if in solo need to kill for example 50 ship to win the battle in cz, in open you need 40. etc, this dont broke nothing, probably solo still win, but with more competition

Apologies if I was not sufficiently clear: for some players who don't enjoy PvP there's no compelling reason to play in Open that outweighs the downside of playing in a PvP environment.

Glad that you have fun in Open - not all players find it equally pleasurable.

i cant force people in open, but you can indirectly force me in solo, if i want beat you in a pve competition.
Only console players without premium platform access are forced to play in Solo (as it is the only game mode available to them) - every other player plays there by choice.

Thats the way it is. PvP is optional, but all actions (apart from shooting other players) are available in every mode. Likewise your opponents COULD block every member of your group in Open and also that way prevent you from undermining their efforts.

Not true, choosing to fully utilise the co-op experience of open comes with the possibility of being 'ganked' by other players, only by choosing to forgo some gameplay can a player avoid the possibility of ganking, that is where many players reside.
Solo, and PG, there is also the blocking feature for open but it's use is normally gate closing after one of the horses has escaped, but all should be good until the next one needs blocking, and so on,
Doing things your way would mean building a ship and training oneself in the 'art' of PvP combat just so you have a chance, but if you don't do combat it's doing stuff you don't like... why bother?

and is ridicolous console players can influence the pc player galaxy too, but this is another discussion.
It's consistent with Frontier's decision, made long ago, to have a single galaxy state shared between all game modes and subsequently all platforms.

The addition of each console's players to the shared galaxy at the point of game release on each platform would only seem to re-emphasise Frontier's stance.

At the risk of sounding argumentative (which i am i admit).

I hate PVP, i am absolutely crap at it, in this game and every other game i have played it in. I love open for the fun interactions with other players, that is why i play in Open and i encourage people to give it a try and not be turned off by the forums overwhelming suggestion that you will ganked the second you poke your head in. Open has more to offer than just PVP.

You already get a bonus for Open... All that extra fun that all you open advocates say that Solo players would have if they were in Open.

Your tolerance of PvP is therefore greater than some others - in that you are prepared to potentially have time wasted in meaningless engagements.
