Sorry I just get irritated when noobs drop their garbage ship builds and then try to convince everyone it's the best possible build out there. Clearly that's not the case so I apologized for jumping to conclusions. I would argue that having virtually no real way to get your shields back is a bit of a hindrance in my opinion.
I'm with DRTY Co and we've been ganking at the CG lately. Maybe I'll bump into soon
Hey its all good, no salt here. I just couldn't work out what got you so offside.
I've met lotsa Drty Co' over the last few months so I'd say us bumping into each other is pretty much inevitable.
All my ship ID's are "OK GO", which will give you some idea about my views to a good stoush.
I got no hate for griefers, to me they are the best part of the game by a mile.
Although I strictly do not kill noobs, some of my best mates in-game fly with A.M, Vail, TOC etc,
which makes me KOA for IED , EXO and so on, which is.... amusing!
I used a build very similar to yours for quite a while, but I just found the extra 50% shield and hull far more robust when I'm focussed. I hear what your saying about no real way to get my shields back, but the flip side to this argument is that it takes twice as long for my opposition to get them down in the first place, and plenty of hull to continue the fight long after theyre gone. I often fly shieldless ships so kiting and avoidance are second nature to me by now.
The problem I found with high resistance/low value builds is their vulnerability to raw damage/phasing pa's.
If you look at "Slum Dunk" it hits with apx 400 raw per pass, with phasing on the huge and one med.
Forgetting skill for a moment, If we hit each other each pass your shields are gone in 5 passes, your hull in another 4.
I can tank you and still have half value when yours drop. That's a problem, regardless of resistance.
I probably wont make it to Meene as I'm working away but I'm looking forward to some jousting when I get home.
Im also keen to check out h.a.a.a.n.d.s, for which I've joined the discord but have yet to find time.
Hit me up any time, cheers.
