Xbox One to Windows 10 "Xbox Version"

I know that ED doesn't allow for the transfer of progress from Xbox to PC, let alone cross-platform progression (which I frankly think is a bit ridiculous), through the Steam version; but does progress translate from the Xbox One version to the Microsoft Store "Xbox" version of the game? I'd like to play the game more, but can't be bothered to re-progress through the Steam version. If my progress is connected to my Microsoft account, I'll likely purchase the game for the third time through the Microsoft store.

Nope Every version of the game on PC is the exact same product... only credits transfer to xbox after you put in a support request
No matter were you pay for the PC game, They all just launch the same exact launcher that runs of the same Frontier PC Elite dangerous PC accounts...

Changing store front gets you the same product... and you put in the Fdev account login which will be tied to the PC servers...

The Fdev account is what has the data stored on it... not the purchase store... the purchase store just gives you the activation cookie... which the game launcher validates the purchase with...

Using the same PC email and Password will login to all PC versions to access PC Fdev ED account...

Xbox BD version to Digital on xbox one will keep progression as it the Fdev account that has the details from live ID not the console..

I have bought a new account on PC... and I admit I've enjoyed to do everything again.

Well... apart the Guardian unlocks, which I've left!

Would only do 1 single Guardian item unlock on PC and that would be the GFSD booster....
Nothing else for me

Aye, I've to say that's the most useful one... what I have enjoyed is the progression in engineering.

Since my legacy modules have been converted mostly in G4 mods and I went straight there without playing around with lower grades, I didn't appreciate how even at G2-G3 they gets good viability.

There is no Microsoft Store (PC) version of Elite Dangerous. The only platform you can buy the game in the Microsoft Store for is Xbox One. If there was a PC version in the MS Store it could theoretically utilize the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative but I see absolutely zero chance of that happening. XPA and the whole UWP platform is a nightmare for developers.
