That is all.

The only thing I'd like to know is what FD means by "in engine footage".
They made a cinematic trailer using the engine, and in no way will reflect what the game will be, or is it supposed to reflect what we'll see as a player?

I wondered if we were seeing a pre-alpha render from the rebuilt engine that was rumoured.
The terrain details are rather good ;)

I think it's the former.

Not enough information provided to form an intelligent opinion one way or the other yet. And I don't see any reason to add to the chirping and squeaking experienced so far. I'll wait to judge and hope for more useful information being released in a few months.

I cant play with my Vive Pro for more than 10 minutes without feeling nauseous in any title i've tried. Never been ever able to develop the 'VR legs' that supposedly comes from using it.
Hi, CMDR W A S Sick here. I had similar problems when I started with my Rift - it was awful. However I read some advice and to my surprise it worked. The moment you start to feel sick stop. Leave it, note down what you were doing when you got sick and come back when you feel okay. Try to avoid the action that made you sick the next time you play. Repeat, each time avoiding all the things that make you feel sick. Each time you should find you can play for slightly longer. For me it took about ten iterations. Then you can start adding the things you couldn't do without being sick. Apparently your brain associates being sick and you need to unlearn it. Most people try to "man" through it and that can work, but for most people it just cements the trouble. Hope it works for you.

Well, finally a snippet about it... nice :)

Question I got in my head :
Combat is mentioned (obviously, to be expected)...
...so what about EVA (Space), Tasks on Ships (i.e. Hack or Repair), other non-Combat activities on Planets and especially : Exploration ?

It's a tad hinted to (set foot on unexplored Planets) at least, so that's something to look forward to.

please don't blow this.

can you please confirm that you're also able to walk around in your ship? it'll be quite the dealbreaker if you just "teleport" to the surface.

That's got to be one of my worst fears at this point. All that hype and 2-3 year long development time, just for a cut-paste srv mechanic.

Yep, extra content for Griefers and Gankers, expect as you little squad crew of 3 leaves your ship or multicrew SRV , that a Griefer mows you all down with multicannons from 200m above, safely in their Krait mk2.

To be honest if a player can shoot me with their ship...fair enough...Its the sidewinder kamikazes that im looking forward to seeing lol

Joined frontier forum in april 2020 yes, not the game.
I'm playing since horizons too, so 2015.
So ok you are not new (i can be wrong) but you impresse me to still beleive in fdev. I would like to trust them and when they will release odyssey we will see it ;)
Mate.

You couldn't be more wrong. I was so disenchanted with Frontier at one point that well, let's just say that things were said.

Over time I have come to realise that there's no point trying to put "trust" in a game dev'. Not just FD, but any game dev'.

Long story short is that they are not going to tailor the content to you and there will be things in Odyssey that you hate. That's normal for online games. We get what we are given and that's pretty much that.

There is going to be things that we all hate in this expansion. It would be foolish to think that a product designed to serve thousands is going to tick all the boxes of a random person, which is what both of us are, as is everyone on this forum.
