Because they can't legally release a VR game where only a part of it is supported. It would be fake advertisement.I must admit I'm with Navigare on all this, but I do think the info vacuum has created a lot of concerned people. Can anyone explain a possible tech reason why the existing gameplay loop in Odyssey will be so radically different that VR will no longer function...ignoring legs for the moment. What does Odyssey change. Why would new planetary tech affect VR to the point FD would drop it? I just find it all a bit strange and I'm still hoping it's just legs part being affected.
So we have 3 options
1. Odyssey not supported and not sold on oculus store nir steam vr
2. Not officially supported with a split somewhere and not sold on oculus store nor steam vr.
3. Fully supported and sold on oculus store and steam vr.
At the moment Zac informed that to avoid any disappointment we should better believe in option 1.
As already said elsewhere this won't affect the base game nor horizons that will still be playable in VR (and fdev is legally binded because the game is sold on vr stores too so they can't just switch it off on already sold copies).
