You aren't exactly helping either though.
The OP has a positive proposal that may be of mutual benefit to both the OP and anyone that cares to give it a go. If it is a trap it's not a sophisticated one, and is easily countered simply by not sending him/her a friend request & agreeing to meet up.
I wish them every success whether it is a trap or not, and am happy to suggest sending the OP a friend request to anyone that uses voice chat in the game & wants to test their mettle against a well organised opponents in a relatively controlled manner.

I didn't really implicate it's a trap. In fact I didn't even read it fully. Any attempt to fix the "2 player archetype - 1 universe" is unneccessary convoluted. PvP flags or separate modes are the common sense solution. But then again - Solo is just the simpler and easier solution if you can't be bothered about MP anyway..
I can easily afford a Carrier, but don't really want or need one. One of the things I am considering is to set it up in San Tu with a load of cheap commodities so players can buy them at my carrier & sell them at Chomsky or Frimout for a big profit.
This would help to maintain the system (saving me a job & making the loss leader commodities worthwhile for me), and provide a quick & easy way for PvPers to get a bit of rebuy cash.
But what it could also do is provide an opportunity for some British Bulldog piracy vs blockade runner practice. As long as the commodities are sold in the system, it doesn't matter whether that's at the black market or the regular market.
But it would undoubtedly be abused by a few pilots sucking all the funds out for themselves. If anyone is interested in running a venture like this & needs an investor to supply the capital let me know.

Not sensitive at all. If you think solo is a better solution for you that's fantastic but not everyone wants to play alone. So why try to disrupt what has been a positive and constructive conversation so far?
Stop whining. If the easy solution doesn't please you that's your problem. In the meantime, you'll have to deal with it.
Ironically not only does the OP appear to be dealing with it quite well, they are offering to help others to deal with it too.

Anyway OP, great idea. We need more training for non-combat pilots who want to fly in Open. You should post this to Reddit if you haven’t already.
