Increased volatility in the BGS -runaway leaders many retreats

Our PMF is now at 78,5% influence but the expansion is not pending yet.
I have seen some comments of people here with similar problems. How was it solved?

Waiting another day seems to be enough. May be that it's doing influence updates after state updates now, so if you reach 75% that day that's too late to check for expansion.

Thank you.

The way are they computing states and influence seems to be very inestable. But one day more or less, is ok.

Confirmed - Coup conflicts still available. Got to 63% and have Election Pending. Pity this Tick seems borked, can only get that data from Squad Page.
Cool. It'll probably be easier for me to push up than down at this point and it'll save faffing around to open the gap after the war.

Hmm, most systems with NO influence change, states seem to have ticked though.
If you check the local news articles then you can read influence changes from there. The tick has happened, mostly, it's just hard to see.

Some people seem to be on servers where the influence change is visible in-game and in the journal, too. But no luck for me to get onto one either.

same here.... it looks like the update landed halfway through the tick calculations and it didn't complete properly. hoping it all comes out in the wash tomorrow.

we really have had 2 ticks and finished 5 conflicts unexpectedly a day early - though we had no issues with the post-patch tick

I have seen two ticks proceed as expected, but the galaxy map contained stale data for about 10 hours after the game update.

Did you check any figures by docking at a station in a system in question? IME local news is usually the most reliable source of up to date information where figures on the galaxy & system maps appear to not change with the tick.

It could be that there was a localised issue that only affects the systems you have checked & not mine perhaps?

I check an average of 150 systems a day - its effectively all I do

I check around 50 (eta around 40 now following several successful retreats), I don't use external tools though, I visit them in the game if the galaxy map figures look unexpected (eg didn't change from the previous day).

Perhaps it's a localised issue only affecting the systems I checked in-game, that gave the appearance of normal, expected behaviour when in the rest of the systems there was an extra tick?

There have been rare occasions where more than one tick occurred, I didn't see any evidence of that yesterday though. Can you give an example system where a war progressed more quickly than usual? I can give an example of one that proceeded as normal - Helios.

eta2 there were several systems where the galaxy map data did not completely update with yesterday's tick (but local news did), LFT 859 for example. It was this system finally changing on the galaxy map to match local news that prompted me to post last night that things were back to normal.

T'iensei we were 2:0 up after two days - war won on this morning's early tick

I'm sure you can appreciate that all I can see is that there is currently no war in T'iensei Jane. I'll pop over & take a look at the local news, but 'my' systems appear fine.

ETA another example; LHS 1832 has an election that is currently 3:3, I started working on it when it was at 3:0 against & have won 3 days in a row.
