Wheres the pvpers? Jameson mem deserted

Been hovering about for hours in open 10 clicks away from jameson ...went into supercruise a few times had a scrap with a corvette. I'm in a fdl and I didn't do as well as l wanted.. waked out. Good scrap though..
C'mon where's the nutters?

Mines parked up nearby. Just wanna test a new build. Corvette was a bit heavy lol. And I'm still fiddling with binds lol

No reason to expect an increase in PvP activity as the FC update didn't really cater to them this time...

Simple answer. Now that you can tell where everyone is in the game simply by looking where the carriers are, why would you hang around Shrin Dez, Deciat etc? The gankers follow the potential victims.

This is not to be confused with the PvPers who largely play honorably and have thier regular locations.

Seriously though I'm starting to ask myself if there are instancing issues because I'm clearly not seeing CMDRs in open even in engineers systems...not talking about gankers but usually there are always some CMDRs parked at the engineer base but in the past few days I haven't met a single one in 3 different engineers systems...find it a little bit odd with all the orange sidewinder errors when dropping in or out from SC I'm starting to think that there are instancing issues...

Are you in Australia? I am and find that I almost never get instanced with anyone else, makes me wonder why I play in Open. lol Instancing with my housemate took some effort. Latency seems to be the primary issue for me.

The 'nihilistic' style ganker above who so geefully strutts like a peacock on the forums above is one of the main reasons for which we have combat logging and blocking in the game, and is not helping my profession in any way.
Frontier: is it really so difficult to introduce some kind of realistic penalties in the game for killing? I have flown around the galaxy with level 10 notoriety without any problem (for killing NPCs), when I should have the ATR on my tail from the moment I log on.

Really ? I had a 5 the other night and was getting constantly hassled. Jump 4 systems over, intending to farm HGEs and an NPC BH'er dropped in.. followed 1 minute later by 4 SYSAUTH ships.

Maybe RNG wasn't on my side.. or was, depending on outlook.

I tested full-whack notoriety before (NPCs), reached 10 and I do remember I was hassled enough for me to not do it again:p Could've been high sec systems though, maybe low-sec/anarchy is more quaint (as it should be).

Maybe I should test this again:p

OT, I noticed a significant decrease in player traffic in general since FCs dropped. The gankers, lawfuls and pirates are where the miners are (judging from my friendlist anyways), and with people sitting on their FCs there's little reason to go to ShinDez now once you've built your fleet to your liking - it used to be my home base but I've only been there briefly over the past weeks, to build a ship or two, in-and-out quickly and not normally visiting much at all now - and when I was there, it was deserted.

Barely seen any of the usual suspects you would normally meet there (who I don't have on my FL), I just presume they're in the Col mines as well or playing with their own FCs. Plus, the much shorter SC trips probably contribute to the general sense of lack of players in Open as well now, even though I won't rule out wonky instancing entirely. It does feel weirdly empty alright.

You do get interdicted more yeah, but you can easily avoid them, at no time was I in any great danger of being killed.
What I would like to see is a security response that at the very least sends the perpetrator into perpetual hiding in anarchy systems. It seems much more immersive and realstic that way.

What would indeed be great would be a higher risk of getting scanned by ATR around stations - I don't remember that being the case and if you're not wanted locally the notoriety doesn't really matter iirc. That should definitely change - "Gerrof moy lawn mass murderer!"
