ANNOUNCEMENT Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 3

Who else thinks things would be more exciting if they brought in missions which were multi-step or like "quests", and paid decent money. Even a bit of problem-solving and working out clues etc.
They already tried the chained missions.
If you ever played Pokemon Go, insert a picture of a Magicarp here. That's about close to what it felt like.

And the rest sounds like fun. People don't like that here.
People here want Immershun! staring an hour on the screen while nothing happens is immersive to some, a waste of time to other. Immershun wins. (no microjumps to skip that part). No FC multi-jump. No direct transfer from cargo to tank-feature. Probably immersive as well.

But enough rant and sarcasm:
I'd be all for some hand crafted missions, something more than cookie cutter missions with changed numbers.
Something that reflects the risk/reward properly and doesn't become the new riskless meta of egg farming at 0 risk in solo and more reward than anyone can imagine beyond their wildest dreams.
If Fdev would need a hand with that, I'm sure the community would help to contribute and design missions.
All they would have to do is to reach out to us.

Same with the paint jobs. They have managed 12 months of fugly PJs that have been clobbered with the ugly stick to death, then suddenly one or 2 sets of limited time legendary PJs, and back to copy-Pasta from MSPaint from the intern who just learned what a mouse is and how to switch on a computer. Using is will be taught in 2024.
Reaching out to the community would net them 1000 paint jobs everyone would love to buy in a heartbeat. But no - The intern needs an occupation too.

NOPE. That's not what people want when they say they want immersion and not easy mode buttons everywhere and stupid gameplay. they want complex (read, tests of skill and risk taking) gameplay and they want it in a way that doesn't turn the game into an arcadey powerup filled free-to-play-esque game. It's not that players want to stare at a screen and do nothing. It's just that that's all Fdev has provided ...but just skipping that part of the game is worse than having it the way it is. The correct solution is Option C. Fixing the stupid game so the most common thing you do in it (supercruise and high jumps) are actually part of the gameplay and not time sinks with 0 additional benefit to the game other than making casuals angry (which is good on it's own... the less casuals the better).

Like everything tied to the fundamental dna of the game, the correct solution to fixing whatever it is in the game is to make it better, not cut it out.

Obviously, after 5+ years, it's pretty clear Fdev is not interested in player created content.

It's also obvious they're not capable of creating their own to scale.

That doesn't paint a bright future. Hopefully instead of just a new community manager, we get some new creative directors and product managers and better funding methods that dont incentivize a broken economy to boost shop sales. Something in the management of the game needs to change because stupid space legs isn't going to fix boring supercruise, boring high jumps, an empty galaxy devoid of any character, faceless factions that dont matter, system stats and laws and economy types that can never really matter because they're so intermixed and close together that you can always avoid/find/circumvent whatever is unfavorable and get to what is favorable with no effort. Not to mention all of the roles consisting only of activities that contain nothing different than what you would do in them as a brand new player.

I think they just made huge tech dept. So each new update adds more errors then features.
Their current silent behavior for weeks seems good sign. They try to pay that debt, but can't tell us because they're not sure. It may fail or may work.

The 15 minute sometimes 16 minutes wait for the FC to jump is a total PITA. Why wait so long? 5 minutes is enough time for a FC out in the black. Because of this long period I don't jump my FC too often because it takes too long waiting for the next jump. 15 minutes needs to be reduced to 5 minutes. 4 jumps with this thing takes an HOUR of wasted time.

1 securing Carrier for departure.
1 minute warning and only me here.
Then it takes a minute to spool up the FSD and start to enter the Hyperspace port.
Then it is in Hyperspace.
Then more wasted time waiting for the thing to get into Hyperspace and arrive.

I mean the Mega war ships of the Federation and Empire don't need a 15 minute wait to spool up thier FSD so why on this FC is it like this?

In addition I still feel like I don't own this FC! The greeting I get is way too bog standard "welcome Commander follow rules and Dock!" Why can't the FC identify my ships as the owner? It is quite personal when the weekly fee is taken off me. Fix this please FDEV!
I was fined by my carrier for transporting illegal goods.....ITS MY FC. !!!!
I promptly jumped to the nearest FC admin system and fired my bridge officer. :)

If you don't like those things, this isn't the game for you. This isn't meant to be a non stop action game, it's MEANT to have a lot of quiet travelling. Go play another game and stop demanding that a game people enjoy for those reasons you dislike it change to fit your interests.

Please fix this Frontier. It's a small thing, but the portraits should match (preference to the person I actually hired to run the bridge).

Something between boring and action maybe ???

Maybe Santana is sick for the day and the intern is covering?

I hope they can fix (presumably it's broken) the way every NPC seems to have blonde hair. It's really weird and a bit creepy if I'm honest.
