ANNOUNCEMENT Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 3

SLF BUG:

Once you fixed asteroids respawn 25kms ....you broke fights! Just kill thargoids and boosted ahead to avoid cloud, well, my ship easy made 25kms before I could return, now I see thargoids remains, I don't see cloud but got touched by it and damaged, AND NO DROP. It just gone as asteroid rocks do!
really?! It's heart gone....

Please, rollback all you "fixed" lately, and change game rules
1. add npc refuel fc
2. make proper supply/demand.
3. make tritium same chanced as anything else

that will make all "bugs" obsolete

People have been reporting LTD Hotspots been giving out a lot of Tritium, too.
The problem is that Hotspots have little (if any) of the designated thing in them.

It has (sadly) been like this since pre-nerf though.

Monday I went to a Painite hotspot. Shot 100+ limpets. Mined 0 Painite ... but did get 50T of Osmium .. which is handy for the engineer unlock I need to do ...

Still, I was hopeful for some painite ... and this is BEFORE the latest nerf :(

I bet half the people complaining about LTD mining being broken right now don't even need the credits or LTD's they're just stockpiling them, filling up the system(s) with carriers crashing people's games who are trying to get into the system(s) who genuinely need the credits. Can't wait for the reaction when the fix involves drastically lowering the price of LTD's permanently

They already have done that. current prices for LTDs are now below a 1 Mil/T for the first time. The market has crashed.

Ive tried to stay level-headed but I’m getting pretty interested in turning the game off of late. Finally found a niche I was enjoying. Looking for good overlap spots for refueling and mining new areas while exploring. Colonia fuel was expensive but no big deal, I’d mine on the far side to cut the cost.

Nope. Colonia now has no fuel. Now laser is dead. Back to 130 to 160T per hour meaning any significant amount of fueling is no-go. A full work day to replenish 2500LY of travel. LOL.

I have some idea what you were going for, but this outcome is pants-on-head stupid.

Without wishing to sound like a , end-user computing is quite different from software development in a technical environment for large scale systems.

That is why you have Analysts to do the analysis and the design for a given requirement or issue. Developers cant anticipate something that they are not even exposed to. I can imagine in a very lean environment, that developers are being expected to do the Analysis job, and that's not working out very well.

For the big projects, you're right, the analysts are needed.

The Developers are not supermen :)

However for the medium-sized projects, The Programmer-Analysts are sufficient, with a project manager above ...

Dear FDEV. fire your maintenance crew. they are utterly incompetent. all they do is nerf. when they make ONE attempt to buff something they completely crash it into the gently caressing ground. they LITERALLY killed mining. i dont mind the price cuts. but the fact that people spend hours and barely find anything of value inside the hotspots that YOU SAID you increased by 200% only further proves your teams incompetence. they have tunnel vision for nerving ONLY mining related activities and not balancing any other part of the game.

first they nerf overlaps by "a little bit" but the result was extremely rare generation of the thing they nerfed. this resulted in the EGGSPLOIT. thats right. it isnt our fault. it is YOUR fault. because your players shouldnt have to rely on exploits to do the job in the first place. but now you nerf overlaps MORE as if you didnt kill it bad enough the first time around you wanted to give it the ol "double tap". but oh "we increased this by double" but then the result is nothin anywhere. they literally killed off mining. you are losing players over this i guarantee it. and it will likely affect sales for Odyssey as a result.

hire a new crew
They broke fighting. Now loot will be gone if you fly away too much, 25kms I guess as for rocks. However, something like toxic cloud out of thargoid remains on place invisible and still damages you once you back. Nice fixes..

Only 1 manager is needed...as said "trust in your compiler", make code so everything is cought by compiler. if you do network code, add static_assert which check BE/LE. If you save float to file add static_assert which checks float is 32 bits etc.

yeah they are under 1m but only just, you can still make more than enough at 500-800k I even saw one station offering 900k Cr a ton,
