If you get the NPC alive to the prison = more money


The plan is at one stage of the capture (don't know exactly which one : stunning or in the pod), the player will be directly teleported to the prison and replaced for the bounty hunter by an NPC.

So, once again, spending time on something for something else that may or may not exist in the future.

Here's a thought. Why not work on stuff that can be used now, add some gameplay, and later, when you are ready to work on those sorts of missions, you also work on the stuff needed for those missions?
 
It's something we do a alot in SC (for the roleplayer). The last time a broke one of my leg and I was effectively at 10 min from my ship. I had called a friend and sat waiting for him.

You know what happens on the ED forums when someone uses RP as a supporting argument as to why a something is good as opposed to actual useful gameplay?

Yeah, they get dogpiled.

Feel you. In Russian you can use the same word for require/would like/demand.

But in relation to SC, you've got to make the distinction, because a lot of backers talk about things in the future like they are a certainty, and CR's history does not back up this level of certainty.

Many backers even go as far as to talking about things that don't exist yet in the present tense.

You should stop using "xxx will yyy" when talking about CiG and SC. This has been your mistake so far: taking what CiG says at face value. If we've learned anything since 2012 (let's pretend we gave CR a blank slate given his former failures..) they either never delivered what was promised, and it's not on the roadmap, or strongly under delivered, at best. While i do test every new patch, i take what i see only and not the distant dreamy promise of future promises. For instance, i'm very curious about that new flight model, since the usual FPS players that praised the "no-intertia / infinite acceleration" model are quite negative about it, maybe for once it's good news.

Sidenote : writting in a forum like this one is a real good exercice to improve my skill in english. Better than an english teacher.

Right. Because it's not as if the use of clearly distinct auxiliary verbs to express different modalities, and in particular different degrees of probability, are pretty much exactly the same in both languages… :rolleyes:

It's just another brick to the crime gameplay.
What have be done (scripts still wip) : crime identification, crime counter, crime surveillance with satellite, satellite surveillance hacking with cryptokeys, crime counter hacking with cryptokeys, bounty hunter pvp/npc, guard fighting players with crimestat, bounty marker for mission, prison, purging crimestat in prison, escaping prison, fines system on restricted areas/landing pads, police NPC patroling, police scanning of illegal stuff. I think I have all for what's in alpha atm.

Scripts worked atm : player's declaration of murder inside ship/party, body dragging, improvment in fine system (especialy on landing pads hammering).

To come : putting captured bounty in pod, transport of the pod to prison, transport from the prison of freed prisonners (for now you are just teleported when freed).

All of those scripts have gameplay usage or mission usage. For instance, atm if you have crimestat you can hack it in special places (ex:satelitte) with a cryptokey that you must buy in limited places. The hacking takes several minutes and as soon as you start it, a pvp mission is also started for bounty hunters players, they start to seek you. So you have to be carefull and it's usefull to have friends with you to keep your back when hacking.

For the wounds system, a not so known plan is to tie it to permanent death. Big wounds have a global counter. When you have too much of these wounds or you are too old, you die permanently. You might start with a fresh character that will inherit some of the belongings of your last one.

There are two simple words that point to all that WiP stuff never being completed... Salvage and Refuelling. We've been waiting for Ci¬G to finish those 2 off since before 3.0 back in 2017.
 
I absolutely don't mean to offend you cause your english is faaaar better than mine but I have to inform you that the correct word is "than" not "then".

Thank you I m sure I will NOT learn from this :D Then or than always has been a gut feeling for me and I didnt manage to get it right so far so I doubt I will but its appreciated ^^
