ANNOUNCEMENT Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 3
Well it was a good run 2 months after a 5 year break but finally I've had enough of the worst micro management I have ever seen in a game by the Devs. So many patches and fixes in the last 2 months mostly fixing problems the Devs have invented. I needed a kick to go back to my other games so here it is maybe i'll drop back again in 5 years until then I am making sure my circle of friends know about this experience so they don't have to live with this terrible management. Hope your game survives as it is a good game but FGS fire your advisors and devs as they are just megalomaniacs and genuinely dont care about players at all.
Bugs happen, and we've always been beta testers because there is no better test than full live. Battlefield 4 taught me that because that had more bugs than starship troopers. Showpiece tower destruction killing every server running it for 6 months. They even had servers to test the netcode for over a year.. This is just getting the numbers right. It'll come but there'll be tears no matter what they do anyway. C'est la vie.

So, mining still isn't fixed and no feedback as to when it will be, all we get is "We know there's a problem and we're looking into it" If this were the store or ARX you can bet your last £ it would have been fixed almost instantly as it was when ARX was first introduced. I love this game but a small part of me wishes i'd never made the switch from No Mans Sky, it's an inferior game compared to Elite but at least it's reliable, not filled with bugs and they pump out content regularly and they don't make a song and dance about it when they do unlike Frontier where we get announcements about announcements about content coming next year which will inevitably be put back anyway.
Actually I remember a time when the store was messed up and people were saying, "Come on Frontier, this is actually costing you money!", for a few weeks I think. But yes, fixing things much quicker would be good.
Went Void Opal Core mining and in 20 to 25 mins I found 1 void opal rock. Im like core mining for opals but not worth it anymore. Sad....So Sad....Nice going FDEV.....dumb*****......I like core mining and FDEV ruins the game as usual....

I sure wouldn't have bought any if I even suspected that 2 weeks later filling the hold with fuel would start costing 700 million(1) instead of 70. I bought the FC mostly for exploration trips, so it's worthless without fuel and I'm not going to pay 700 million(1) per trip.
This is the time someone will say something about "preparation", but I'd rather spend my leisure time mostly enjoying myself, not mostly preparing to enjoy myself.
(1) - edit: it's actually almost 1 billion, not 700 million.

Given their recent number in term of real money and capital evolution , FD dont need anything. Unfortunatly , that may confort them not to maintain elite in the right way and continue the mysterious update but not to much or lets just put some new arx potential asset. keep milking
Yeah... Frontier Development are showing their prowess and skills as a Game Company as they operate in the dark without a flashlight.
A company that actually cared would of rolled back the patch the next day and worked on fixing the patch to solve the problems.
I have given up all hope for Elite Dangerous. Frontier Development isn't interested in doing the right thing. Just as Frontier Development isn't ready to do the hard work either.

As for the game. I was already having to spend 3+ hours to go out and do mining. For me, that is already too long for something that is now also going to be worth less and take even longer to accomplish. I play games (Including Elite) to have fun. Laser mining is not fun. I was enjoy sub surface mining. Then that got nerfed to the point that I could count on 2 hands the total sub surface LTD veins I found in a nearly 4 hour session. It was less than 7. Only going after yellow rocks. Now it is going to pay less, be more difficult to sell, and take 2 to 4 times as long and be impossible to fill your hull from running out of limpets first.
The out come is very dark, very bleak, and completely hopeless of anything "Rewarding" to come about.

Not dark perhaps but the torch definitely needs a new set of batteries to be usefully bright again
And not trying to quibble but it wasn't the actual announcement about the patch, more like an announcement about the plans to make an announcement about the patch.
