Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

I'm starting to feel fooled. This game is just a construction site without any content, apart from the many mistakes. Where are the bug fixes that caused the fleet carriers to be moved? Everything seems pretty haphazard to me at the moment.

Not really true, they announced twitch stream about ED! :D
That is communication, to see how cool he plays.
Lol, they play? Like they did when they presented us their mamba vs krait phantom fight with ships engineered on E modules? YES E Modules :ROFLMAO:
I need to see it to laugh, it's better than beeing angry :p

Or when they liked the diamond rush so much they wanted to join in and run a load of diamonds to Fuelum in open but they couldn’t filter out non scoopable stars, kept running into exclusion zones, and ultimately ran out of fuel before they called the fuel rats and cut the live feed. Yeah they don’t play their own game.

Totally agree with that, but combat(human and AXI) are more dangerous and require more skill than just rotating around a rcok and playing a minigame...
(...)

Couldn't agree more.

And - many commanders seem to misunderstand my point of view/comments a lot.

Actually I would like to see laser mining Tri on pre-patch 3 levels, or at least that SSD mining would allow that yields.
Instead, they only slightly buffed lasers, SSD is unaffected AFAIK.

And I consider Colonia supply an unsolved / ignored problem.

It doesn't change the fact, that I am skeptical about most of "wishes and demands" I see there, and so many commanders denying to accept the hard truth -
FD has never planned FCs to be what you wish them to be.

Don't attack the messenger, because you don't like the message.
I am not the one behind ED game mechanics.

IF they balanced the activities, there would be more players fighting because not as boring as mining and because of a decent reward, less players would mine. They could instead afford the buy of 40k+/t tritium buy though it will still need to have more supplies in stations.
The fact is that Fdev instead of saying "OK sry, we did a mistake about reward/activity/time, now it's rebalanced" they just keep me impressed inhow they can screw up the game in ways i could't imagine.
The result of several months of not listening playerbase lead to this situation: players angry vs likely incompetant devs/dev's leaders.
JUST BECAUSE LACK OF COMMUNICATION!!!
Absolutely TRUE, IMHO.

That is another design issue. They missed.
Game may generate anyhow all properly as old times, with proper chances. But we see all together like VO + trit, so for player's eye there is more yellow around and harder to pick proper rock, then they try to fix by changing chances and this breaks all.

You can go like 1700ly +/- plane and tell us story about 1st visit of not reachable star ...
....somebody just want to do the same in other sectors.
Not one of my current goals, but that is why I am adding to my Rocket Tea reserves with each jump, in case I run into a situation where reachable objects thin out. I'm more interested now in searching out unusual star types and Codex entries, plus the usual ELWs and other assorted planetary goodies.

Reading a number of your other posts, I could add another category of deep space traveler: Tourists, racers, explorers, and questers* -- Cmdrs who have a specific "trophy" goal in mind when setting out. Nothing wrong with that, I'm sure it could be done using methods similar to what I'm using as long as racing there does not become part of the plan.

*Not to be confused with quasars ;)

This is just funny. :D I use a lot more CQC-type skills getting the last drop of Rocket Tea out of an SSD vein buried in a crevasse on a fast-rotating rock than I ever did in RES and CZ combat. If you're "just rotating around a rock" you're doing it wrong.

However, FD needs to listen much more carefully to what players want and plan accordingly if they want the game to continue. I want the game to be fun and enjoyable and not just grind, grind, and more grind, like adding tritium to the grind. A very bad decision in my opinion. Bring back the fun and enjoyment of accomplishing achievable goals in a very reasonable amount of time. And I still say that some of this could be solved by decreasing the amount of trit needed to 100t / 500LY.

What? Have you ever tried to fight a thargoid interceptor? Or face solo a wing of elite NPCs in one of those wing massacre mission? Or even angage in one of those defend installation scenarios where you are suddenly surrounded by 10 enemies? Those activities are so underpaid compared to mining that, despite the fact I truly hate mining, when I'm short on cash I am forced to grind stupid rocks. Balancing the rewards for missions should be priority n1 in my opinion
