Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

If it was EA or any Take 2 subpublisher (Rock*, 2K), we would already have Tritium in ARX shop.
THIS would be worth some noise.
And those are VERY successful gaming publishers.

So, everything depends on the background and having some "bigger" picture.
I agree that ED should have played this somehow less "enigmatic", but I am a realist.
I do not expect too much for so few $.
On that publishers I wouldn't even bother to have FC :D I spend there only free things they give monthly, or don't play game if I must.

exploring is not about rewards, (...)

The struggle of non-native people writing in English...

I did not mention "financial" rewards, but more general = chance to find something interesting.

And I had a multiple types of Brain Trees on a single planet.
It had 27(!) signals, So I just checked one of low #, on of high, and somewhere in the middle.

I seems like they are groupped (1-13 1st type, 14-27 2nd type).
Of course it need more tests to confirm that.

Nobody had "expectations". We had a game that worked in a particular way for several years, and a new commodity that worked in just that way for the month of so of its existence. People assumed that this was the way it was supposed to work, because it turns out it WAS the way it is supposed to work, as confirmed by FDev itself. So people bought a thing under the assurance that things would continue working as intended, and went on journeys under the expectation that this would continue as such.

Then FDev broke the game. They've admitted they broke it. They've admitted they're trying to fix it, even if they're being abysmally slow about it. There is no conceivable vector of information suggesting that this is intended behavior and that we should just adapt to it, because the developers themselves have told us that it's 100% confirmed to be their screwup.

Are you making a deliberate effort to ignore this in an attempt to troll people with your assurances that they should just suck it up, and blaming them for not planning for game conditions that did not exist at the time of people making their plans and, at the risk of repeating myself, have been confirmed as being the result of the developers messing up?

You will see these kinds of claims from him. Despite FDEV acknowledging all that you pointed out, despite multiple patches trying to fix those problems, in spite of the fact that these forums, FB, Reddit, etc. are full of people complaining about yields, supply/demand, hotspots, etc. he still claims to be able to drop into a dark ring and in 30 minutes pull out 500 t of whatever he wants and then sell it wherever he wants for a premium price. It's nonsense. Mining is still very broken.

Exploring next to the bubble?? I bet you still see Signal sources hahaha - Well at least you won't have to mine fuel I guess

Yes, and I am totally cool with that. Although no signals here :)

Have a guess, which findings have chance to be useful to community (e.g. for grinding mats or just as POI to visit) - the ones close to bubble, or xx.xxx ly away?

Ignore him; he's a troll. Please tell us a story how you were able to refill 25.000 of Tritium in a few hours of mining before patch 3 that ruined everything :)
(MINING - Colonia supply problem is a separate issue)

PS: I also saved this post. I will come back and poke you in a few weeks or months, when you will be still waiting for FD to "fix" ED.
Although your demands won't be even in known Issues list :)

Oh, and it was 210t/h, not 500.
I know, that you know. You should have written 2000t/h, it would be as false as it was, but more funny.

5100ly out from Sol atm, exploring the hell out of things, 550M+ in exploradata (after FC expenses), 3200T Rocket Tea in my hold for lean times, 1100T LTD as well + lots more in various other minerals, mining for a few hours after a jump to replace FC fuel and add to my reserves (even through the GRTD), and all just as solo as solo can get. Three virgin ELWs so far (two within a couple hundred LYs of each other), plenty of Codex discoveries, a tight little O star cluster to check out (not NGC7822's fake cluster), assorted rare stars. The "impossibility" of solo exploration with a Fleet Carrier is highly exaggerated, mainly by Cmdrs more interested in tourism and racing.

You can go like 1700ly +/- plane and tell us story about 1st visit of not reachable star ...
....somebody just want to do the same in other sectors.

Funny fact: after patch 4 laser mining in Tri2 gave worse results then SSD mining in the same spot before % after patch 4.

It seems like I was more right suggesting SSD mining Tri as solution after "failed" patch 3 then I was aware of ,
because FD fixed mining exactly like I wished for:
SSD mining yields higher then laser.
Because reward should be effort/skill based.

What we need is a megaship space miner

....just kidding. Hope this gets sorted out real soon.

FDev just save face at this point and either make Fleet Carriers regenerate fuel depots x/hr, make tritium scoopable (to be player hauled to the FC), or give 1000t/wk on a fixed day so if someone wants to move faster they can mine for it. It’s looking like Tri1 is fixed but Tri2 is more like a Tri1.5, and Tri3 is at Tri1 values. This is not making tritium just as accessible as before patch3. You failed just save face at this point and move on to better issues.

The real tragedy is that FD jsut doesn't get that the whole Tritium model is a huge mistake that only serves to frustrate players and throw up a totally ridiculous obstacle to normal game activity - for no rational reason!

Hydrogen costs nothing. Re-fueling ships is such a negligible cost that no one even discusses it.

So, why then Make the Tritium situation so dire?

Regardless, they still insist on 40k/t in most stations. When you find a station listed at the 4k/T it's gone buy the time you get there.

It's just pointless.

Make Tritium 400 cr/t avg. and available. You're still going to spend time loading it. Same with mining - no hot spots needed. It should be abundant in any ice ring using lasers to fill the hold just as fast as your limpets can collect it.

Easy fix.

Which is why it will never happen. FD classic logic. Hard to imagine how this mentality has persisted so long at FD. Give them something that should be fun, but make it so painful that it just frustrates the entire player base.

It really is incredible.
I couldn't agree more!

Because reward should be effort/skill based.
Totally agree with that, but combat(human and AXI) are more dangerous and require more skill than just rotating around a rcok and playing a minigame...
IF they balanced the activities, there would be more players fighting because not as boring as mining and because of a decent reward, less players would mine. They could instead afford the buy of 40k+/t tritium buy though it will still need to have more supplies in stations.
The fact is that Fdev instead of saying "OK sry, we did a mistake about reward/activity/time, now it's rebalanced" they just keep me impressed inhow they can screw up the game in ways i could't imagine.
The result of several months of not listening playerbase lead to this situation: players angry vs likely incompetant devs/dev's leaders.
JUST BECAUSE LACK OF COMMUNICATION!!!

Not really true, they announced twitch stream about ED! :D
That is communication, to see how cool he plays.

Soooo, can't help wonder what the delay was for.......

Oh well great anti-advertising for Odyssey I guess. 'Like this catastrophe? All these bugs and more coming 2021(ish)!'
At this point I will not be buying Odyssey. Since they can't fix the current game so that it is enjoyable and fun again, instead of grind, grind, and more grind, I have no confidence that they will be able to produce a new game. To this CMDR it simply appears that they have made a business decision to make as much money as possible on the game, while devoting as little resources as possible.
