Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

Well, they tested ONE Tri2, we need "a bit" more to have reliable concusions.

I have tested only one too, and had a better results then you can see in linked post - but still much worse then pre-patch 3 Tri2.
But my overlap was pretty weak - shared area was on edges of yellow circles and it appears to lower overlap strength (according to patch notes).

Unless FD did it again, before patch 4 there was some threshold in overlapping that made yields rapidly DROP:

Too good overlaps were useless, simply put.

I would do that, but it is only possible to submit if it is an overlapping hotspot of type Tri or LTD. But there are other commodities than that, and there are hotspots not overlapping, which are interesting too.

"Phase 1 - Painite".
Keep your logs, there will be next phases.
I suppose.

Yep I'm seeing the same, the Tri2 my carrier is parked at is actually worse for laser mining in patch 4 than it was with patch 3. In around four hours I only had a dozen rocks over 20% and no 30% rocks. SSD mining is around the same as patch 3 (which was worse than patch 2).

While there might actually be some tritium in single hotspots, anyone saying that trit mining is fixed obviously isn't trying to refuel a carrier with it.

2 hours, expended 192 limpets. Single VO hotspot. Found 75 Void Opals (5 asteroids total.. in 2 HOURS), 99 Tritium, 17 LTD

The patch has made a VERY minor difference over patch 3. This is B.S.; 4 patches and they're STILL not getting it right.

Went to an LTD hotspot in Borann. Found numerous Tritium asteroids but only 2 asteroids withj LTD's,

Soo, Patch 5?
Let's bet guys, of what it will contain.
Here's my plan :p

  • Tritium: somthing good in appearence that will be even more nerfed after investigations
  • FC: fixed what should have been fixed today with patch 4 (lags, slots, etc)
  • Arx: because micro transactions and paint jobs are more important than what we could think or ask

And nothing more to expect instead of more disappointments.
Bugs on issue tracker still unsolved.
We will still rage and there still will be the naive people asking us to give a chance to the devs (after 4 patches, you know what i'm doing with your advice lol?)
Oh and they will annonce the annoncement of what we could expect but not in the final final version of what content will oddyssey bring(break?) to the game.
Better ideas? ;)

I didn't ignore anything, but I thought I was clearly talking exclusively about mining. Your comment was far from clear.

Both aspects are connected.

If mining was massively buffed, lack of supply in Colonia would be less of an issue.

If there was massive supply in Colonia, it would result in similar increase in area easily reachable to FCs without mining fuel on the way.

But we have a minimal mining buff and still no supply in Colonia.

IF this is intentional, most of FCs are supposed to stay in Bubble vicinity, with exceptions of some very patient commanders ;)

What? Have you ever tried to fight a thargoid interceptor? Or face solo a wing of elite NPCs in one of those wing massacre mission? Or even angage in one of those defend installation scenarios where you are suddenly surrounded by 10 enemies? Those activities are so underpaid compared to mining that, despite the fact I truly hate mining, when I'm short on cash I am forced to grind stupid rocks. Balancing the rewards for missions should be priority n1 in my opinion
Well, look who got their Top Gun panties all in a twist over nothing. You must think I was comparing mining to combat (all types of both to all types of each). Try again. What made me laugh, and still does, is the condescending and reductio ad absurdum description of mining, which likely stems from either not having done it or not being very good at it. I suspect the latter. Nor did I say mining and combat are in any way equivalent, as you seem to think I did, which also makes me laugh. What I did say is that I (not everyone, as you seem to assume) use more intricate flying and shooting skills (i.e., like the kind of stuff used in combat) when mining SSDs than I ever did in RES and CZ scenarios, which is perfectly true.

Maybe you're so defensive because you think combat should be better rewarded than mining, 'cause of danger factor and all that. Perhaps, but that's not at all what I was commenting on, so it's irrelevant.

Ticket. Fdev inability to tell the time.

When you announce that something will happen at 11:00 UTC that means 12:00 in the country where you work. This means both the big hand and the little hand need to be on the 12. When the big hand is on the 9 and the little hand is on the 12 it is actually 11:45. This can be identified even easier if you use a digital clock that would have actually showed the time as 11:45.

Please arrange for FDev staff to attend Park Street CofE primary school who have years of experience in teaching the time so that this does not occur again.

:ROFLMAO:
A run through Basic Training might work too... :)

Cross posted from the known issues thread:

Early indications are that this has not been achieved and that a significant decrease is still evident in the amount of tritium available in Tri2s and Tri3s as against Patch 3 - albeit better than it was yesterday. For carriers in the black who have been stranded for nearing a month, this looks like another let down. If the intention was to reduce Tritium mining availability, then please say that (as the above quote says completely the opposite). If not, then I'd ask you to urgently look into the issue. I'm sure more data will come from the players doing these surveys later today to confirm.

Wait, surely you didn't expect them to fix everything in one go, this is just patch 4 after all.
