Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

This doesn't look fixed to me. And as I've mentioned before... this is not dependent on the number of carriers in a system. One in this case.

Miners will learn to diversify
Fight using cutter is nightmare now, it easy flies out of range and drop disappears (because they "fixed" rocks). Meanwhile you CAN respawn rocks yet. Just need 31km dist. Think how could u do that...

Old/new menus bug...to repeat: engage hypedrive and open cargo detailing in right -> that window will stuck till relog. They "fixed" that 3 times during last 3 months. And it is still there. Do they fix each use-case? Darn ... that is not code, it is spagetti.

Umm not really sure how to reply. But I will say this, from the outside looking in the code base does feel a bit messy. Several places I have worked on the business side, particularly with old systems, were hard to maintain. Mostly due to age and layered additions and hacks overtime. If there is a routine buried in a library somewhere that's accessing a table that does not seem to be used, like a look up table. And its not documented, someone could accidently not do the research and delete it thinking it was deprecated. Then their are consequences that could manifest itself in a crash of some sort right then and there or later on in some specific set of circumstances.

So I get that there are more than likely those issues with Elite. And again I am not there so this is speculation, idk. But as far as my statement and being a Miner in the game, I am just saying that in the mean time diversify. If I am mining painite I might pick up other ore that may not be as valuable but it adds to the old bank account all the same. That is what I use the carrier for, long term deep space bulk mining.

Also with the respawning they went with a instancing method that allows respawning/ resetting of many assets across the board and its been like that forever. Its core to the game and I would imaging mucking with that, in the case of the egg fix, caused issues. Initially it seemed the fix was pretty brute force.

Yeh ...just had to scream that :D Met 2 bugs during 3 mins - locked popup when i tried to check fast what systems buy VO + pirate came on Anaconda, killed it, nice G5 mats ...and while cutter stopped - all drop despawned because of that "egg fixes".

I don't blame you. I got burnt out in Nov of last year. Took a loooong break, Came back for fleet carriers. Got pre-disappointed with Odyssey. The frustration is real!
