Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

That was never planned. It just happened to crystallize in imagination. Where would all the hangar modules go?
no, that was planned or at the very least implied to be planned, one of the very first demo for arena commander, if I'm not mistaken, the one with the infamous helmet flip animation had CR flew the ship from hangar.

Yeah this was mentioned on the reddit the other day:

-We found the hadanite bug ourselves
-Multiple members of the org set up an autoclicker to auto-sell via the bug
-Our members start testing just how bad this bug is, and leave the autoclickers on for hours at a time.
-We find another bug that involves timing a 30k right so that your cargo is infinite. This leads to us gaining infinite cats worth of laranite and selling it for 10s of millions of UEC per sale
-After a few days of this, everything is lovingly caressed.

I never said we caused 30ks. In fact they're easy to identify. Just use r_displayinfo 1 and look for when packet loss starts spiking above 5%. That's when a 30k is coming and you can time a cargo run so that it bugs the ship into unknown status and you can sell infinitely.

If they ever realise they can cause 30ks by balancing a bottle on Hurston's head this could get ugly ;)

Kiddie orgs deliberately crashing the game through exploits...what a novel approach
Well, hey, this is probably the first instance of actual alpha testing that I can recall seeing in a very long time.

Now, let's place some bets on whether this will be treated as what it is (a legitimate flaw in the system that needs to be addressed) or as what it won't be for many years yet (a ban-worthy exploit).

Well, to be fair my dear Mole, when you've got a toy backend infrastructure that wishes it was made out of Lego and the guts of a ZX81 - playing with it could be fairly irresistible :D

Especially at these early stages of development in a pre-pre-alpha test environment.
I know the limitations of the shyte hardware and software Ci¬G are fobbing us off with...it's more the Eve online with cockpits crowd bringing the same mentality into SC that I'm on about.

If it hadn't been put on roadmap, it wasn't planned.

By the way, do you know we still don't have that roadmap for roadmap published?
Because guys responsible for it are stuck in T-pose and can't type.

How long is it since they announced it?

Over a week since they said they would initiate their 4 phase plan to bring us a roadmap?

Edit: Apparently 2 weeks.

Hah, apparently there are people on reddit calling for these guys to be banned.

Banned for doing a solid bit of testing during an alpha.

What? Those people don't understand they paid to be testers? ITS ALPHA!!!!

They think it should be handled like a released product?
