I tried to play ED on a monitor and it was literally and figuratively "flat".I bought FS2020 on Friday and while it’s pretty, it’s basically unplayable for me because I’ve gotten so used to playing simulators in VR.
People without VR just don’t seem to understand what I gigantic step backwards it is to go from VR to a monitor. I didn’t mind taking the plunge and buying it without VR support because Microsoft have COMMITTED to adding VR as a top priority and I’m going to love it then.
From my experience with FS2020 I know there is not way I’ll want to play EDO on a monitor.
I bought drive club on PS4 (not the vr version as in do not have a psvr headset ) this is a game I would have loved back in the day. I sunk a lot of time into MSR and PGR but I played for maybe 30 mins and will likely never play again.
Same with Forza horizon. Those games on PC look right up my street but without VR I know I would be wasting my money.
You can definitely legitimately argue VR is a double edged sword. I Imagine in the 1940s People loved their 7 inch black and white TV set. Imagine forcing them to go back to it however after having 5 years on a 70 inch colour one!.
As for MSFS. I am deliberately holding off till vr is in. I want them to see a surge of sales.for VR.
Shame really. The premium version was £77 on cdkeys a.short while back
