Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

An issue with the current generated systems is there is no signage where things are. And where things are is different between all the stations. So finding, for example, the admin room where you sell stuff can be annoying.
Err... That could be fixed through the "generation" (by adding these signages or go with a more consistent layout across the places), or placed by hand as everything else they already did in the handcrafted places. Quite a cheap excuse.

Smells like loading screens to me.
The lack of signage since they revamped all the truckstops is a pain...In Lorville or area 18 you can simply look at the signs to find out where you're headed, truck stops involve lots of running around up blind corridors and stairs to nowhere until you accidentally happen on where you're looking for...every truck stop has an almost unique layout. Since they're adding the cargo decks to the truck stops and orbital stations in 3.11, it's to save pointless frustration running around for an hour just trying to sell cargo...land at cargo deck, spend an hour trying to find the admin office with the terminal etc. Seems more sensible to make the cargo deck a destination on the elevator panels.

SC kinda forces you in the major ports (Lorville, Area 18 and New Babbage) to take the train transport option since the admin offices with the trading terminals are normally secreted away as far from the main space port as they can place them...complete silliness and simply because CR required folks to look at all the pointless scenery his designers added rather than just getting the job done in a gameplay sense...like most gamers expect from a game. The scenery and train rides are only nice the first time you're forced to suffer them, after that the experience becomes a background chore most of us can happily do without.

The commonly used workaround for avoiding the train trip is to land then commit sepuku in the hangar...you wake up at the hab in the station then, usually a lot closer to the admin building than the space port is. It still means you have to suffer the train ride back to the spaceport of course...but at least it's only one way.

If players will soon be unable to walk/run between areas and forced to use elevators instead, then that is bad for fire safety. Won't someone think of the fidelity?

And then there's the more nuanced use of the language. For example, you know you're in trouble if a Glaswegian calls you "pal". I speak from experience, having been born in Glasgow.

Trust me, i know what its like. That first month in Glasgow was an eye opener for me. Being g English meant that some people hated me before i'd even opened my mouth.

The one thing i really learned there is when "Flower of Scotland" comes on, you sing like your life depends on it, because it probably does.

When it matches nearly word for word the attacks of absolute haters and trolls who have nothing but ill will for this community and CIG and the game itself, no, it really is not pathetic.

If you want your constructive criticism to be heard, you've got to JOIN us and be part of the solution. We need to cut out the cancer in this community, and once it is gone, then and only then can we have discourse.

Let's have an echo chamber then everyone will sing in harmony!

As an aside, by posting quotes like this, i'm probably only highlighting the worst of the SC community. For every deluded white knight, there is probably a Mole or Sovapid who will call horse manure when they see it and hold CIG accountable for the money they have been given.

Unfortunately... [deleted by CIG_Nightrider]

Good news for bounty hunters
We are actively working on allowing security and defences to fire at trespassers without the need to give trespassing players felonies. This will mean that while Bounty Hunter may still be attacked for trespassing, they will not be given a lasting felony.
