Smells like loading screens to me.
The lack of signage since they revamped all the truckstops is a pain...In Lorville or area 18 you can simply look at the signs to find out where you're headed, truck stops involve lots of running around up blind corridors and stairs to nowhere until you accidentally happen on where you're looking for...every truck stop has an almost unique layout. Since they're adding the cargo decks to the truck stops and orbital stations in 3.11, it's to save pointless frustration running around for an hour just trying to sell cargo...land at cargo deck, spend an hour trying to find the admin office with the terminal etc. Seems more sensible to make the cargo deck a destination on the elevator panels.
SC kinda forces you in the major ports (Lorville, Area 18 and New Babbage) to take the train transport option since the admin offices with the trading terminals are normally secreted away as far from the main space port as they can place them...complete silliness and simply because CR required folks to look at all the pointless scenery his designers added rather than just getting the job done in a gameplay sense...like most gamers expect from a game. The scenery and train rides are only nice the first time you're forced to suffer them, after that the experience becomes a background chore most of us can happily do without.
The commonly used workaround for avoiding the train trip is to land then commit sepuku in the hangar...you wake up at the hab in the station then, usually a lot closer to the admin building than the space port is. It still means you have to suffer the train ride back to the spaceport of course...but at least it's only one way.
