Newcomer / Intro Favourite Ship

Here’s the pve one I’ve been slowly building this week...
She runs a little hot but is able to stick on things and cool off nicely with thermal vent. Considering testing out some class2 rails on her but not sure she can manage much more power draw/heat.
Such a little beast. I’d really like to wing up with some other V4’s and go smashing up a RES.
I’ll post a screenie, if my son ever gets off my Xbox... 😩

Beautiful. My favorite hull design for sure. Perfect combination of paintjob and laser/exhaust colours.

The Beluga is the best :D

It looks really nice for an interstellar cruise ship. The view from the pilot seat is great too.

I've been using it for everything for the last few months. It has enough space for armor that it can take a beating, especially with a bi-weave.

Exploration is super simple since there's so much space. I stuck four mining lasers on my build to harvest asteroid mats in 10 seconds. It has srv space galore. I added some limpet controllers too and still have module slots that I don't know what to do with.

Flying into and out of stations FA-Off is fun once you get the hang of it. Getting clean entries and exits without tapping the hangar walls is super satisfying. The handling on the ship in general is more like a mid sized ship than a large which is really comfy.

A downside is that it's the biggest ship in the game and built for passengers but other ships can still carry more people. I guess the hot tubs and bars take up some space. The poor Anaconda passengers are probably transported in metal cargo boxes haha.

I've been thinking of taking a local faction president out for a long exploration trip. That could be a fun way to use a luxury cabin. They would be way more talkative than a crew mate.

Cobra Mk IV - sorry
It does grow on me, not my favourite ship but it is fun to fly.

I agree most ships are not really beautiful, but... I think most of them do look believable as every day workhorses.

Only a handful of ships I think are beautiful and/or stylish: Cutter, Cobra mk III, Cobra mk IV, Krait and Chieftain (except the cockpit it should have been flush with the fuselage).

Teabagging in Elite is an old altruistic tradition, instrumental in the curing of the Cerberus plague, the creation of the Epsilon Indi Bourbon, construction of the 11 Parsec bar and many other important points in the history of the early 4th millenium. A sign of culture.
Not to be confused with some immature juvenile rituals in early simulated wargames around the start of the 3rd millenium.
