Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I pay yearly on XB last time it was £35? Do I need to look closer? Is GamePass the £1 a month thing? Dont think I do that, I got Elite to play and rarely had the urge to play anything else (Assass Creed Odyssey and will have to upgrade XB for AC Vikings or whatever its called so that can wait).

10-20 Years, spotted it straight away. 10 years from when? 2012, 2014. 2015, 2020? So either less than 10 or more than 20, neither would be lying. Knowing them theyll release it in 15 just to make sure they were wrong about this too.

I'm paying £10.99 for mine already...but it covers Xbox live subs as well as gamepass ultimate for both Xbox and PC. I gameshare over Xbox with my son so he gets everything I have for free... gamepass ultimate is way cheaper than 2 separate Xbox live subs then adding game costs onto it.

I paid nothing bar the £1 start-up fee for almost a whole year anyway...they credited my Xbox live subs that I had just renewed last year when gamepass ultimate first appeared. I only started paying the full £10.99 a couple of months ago.
Oops a daisy. I didn't notice that you were talking about the ultimate version. 67 and I still can't read 😨

Founder and CEO of "Nikola" (H2- Truck project) resigns after allegations of fraud and lies.

Should be somewhere in the financial news. And that's why proper shareholders and market are important. They create a bit of accountability. Still allows for heists and mismanagement, but in the end someone finds out.

Time for Christoffer to make the right choice and step down.

Gamepass ultimate appeared the same time as Uplay+ did last year...a long time after Origin access pioneered it, but switching to the monthly...or annual subs if you prefer. It kinda brought Xbox live, Xbox and PC gaming all under one roof...especially with the 100's of top tier titles available in the MS gamestore. It really sealed the deal for me.

I've had Origin Access premiere on PC from EA for years, even going back to Xbox days with EA Access ...or EA Play as both of the subscriptions are now called. I've never once had cause to regret it. I pay £85 annually for Origin Access premiere on PC...that's the cost of one ultimate edition game and all the games in the Origin store are ultimate editions with all DLC and season passes included.

I'll get Star Wars Squadrons ultimate edition (if there is such a thing) for free too...3 days before it's on general release.

Wishful thinking?

EA isnt so interesting to me. Apart from BW games maybe and they take longer and longer to release and actually step down from being good. Ubi I rarely use either. They simply dont offer that much that interests me. And 85 bucks to play something I wouldn't normally play seems silly. Bethesda used to deliver stuff that interests me, so that is definitely a decision that might attract me.
If they overcome FO76 with an actually new good game now.

I only tried UPlay+ for the free 30 days to get access to GR Breakpoint when it released. Everything else from Ubisoft I really wanted I already had via Steam...all the Assassin's Creed titles which I like.

Currently with Origin Access I have 6 ultimate edition titles in my library...from FIFA 20, Anthem, A plague tale: Innocence to Battlefield 5... Jedi: Fallen order and Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2 with many more from the older titles in the library like the entire Ultima series, Wing Commander series, Mass Effect series...all of which I've downloaded, played and they're still there in the store should I wish a rehash through them.

It's not a bad subscription service...even if it chokes me say that about EA :D

Come on Microsoft, buy out CIG and sideline CR!

I want to see backers doing mental gymnastics explaining why big bad publisher buying out CR is good for SC!
I don’t think MS management reads this thread 😉. Anyway, there is no need for a buyout, CIG has more than enough cashflow. I just don’t get the obsession here, they are doing their thing, so be it, are you guys really that burned on getting the game? There are a lot of different options out there which are superior according to most of the specialists here, why not play them?

I think Microsoft are only looking for successful game studios with released IP's. Ci¬G is on it's own...for better or worse ;)

Maybe it’s because Chris has been guilty of such egregious mis-selling that his fall would seem like natural justice. And might limit the perpetual continuation of the same?

(And hey, who doesn’t love the melodic clang of karma dropping onto some deserving head? ;))

Maybe it’s because some would like to see the PU actually delivered, Freelancer style, rather than just being ridden off into the distance in a haze of dreams?

Maybe it’s because people just can’t take their eyes off of this...?

Not sure why it bothers you so much. Just go have fun in the ‘verse ;)

That ship sailed 4 years ago, hence not so clued up large investors are needed for...marketing purposes

I suggested a while back that SC backers start a company or buy the rights when / if it all goes wrong.....I cant see anybody else buying it without a ROI which its losing every month as more funds are spent in the first place to gain the things that would be paid for later. I wasnt joking.
