It also didn't help that I'm clearly an idiot. I managed to get to the spaceport and order a ship but I couldn't work out where the hangars were
Glad to see you accept that its all your fault and the fault of your PC, and not the fault of CIG, who should be absolved.
Those elevators are their own rooms? Does the piping travel with them?I think thats a fairly common problem. Its going to be fixed with elevators, you get in, the doors close and they open again at your hangar or destination (Think Willy Wonka Glass Elevator) wherever it is in a 360 degree arc from you. These elevators are the BDSEE they go up, down, left, right, forwards, backwards, Diagon Alley, theyre just pure magic.
Now its very important that you understand 2 things.
1. These elevators are not loading screens. From your POV it is youre looking at the inside of an elevator, and it may as well be as would speed the whole thing up immensely, but it isnt, you will travel under th feet or over the head of another player in real time....somehwere, somehow, elevator shafts are all over the place going flipping everywhere.
2. None of this is actually in game at the moment, well I say Game I mean early Alpha #BuyanIdris, its all for the future. Right now elevator doors WILL kill you randomly, as will being inside the elevator (must still be all that physical stuff in the shaft that hasnt been built yet so its trying to pass through the fidelity (scenery) and fails.

Would it be a problem? You know there have been published games that were pure rubbish. Like certain mr. Smarts Battlecruiser 3000 AD when it was published.Mr Smart certainly was not humble about hyping his game before it came out.
They are self-contained, so just pray you don't get stuck in one for more than an hour or so.
I gave my new graphics card a workout last night by heading to the spaceport. And I found that I was far too negative when I predicted 24 fps. I actually managed a max of 27 fps. And that was after taking @LittleAnt's advice. It didn't matter whether the graphics were set to low, medium or high. And neither my cpu nor gpu went above 60%. Lots, and I mean lots, of graphics glitches. So clearly SC doesn't like my pc. It also didn't help that I'm clearly an idiot. I managed to get to the spaceport and order a ship but I couldn't work out where the hangars were. So after an hour of this I decided to play something (which I find) fun instead. Sorry SC, I'll come back when you're feeling better, hopefully at the next freefly.
Of course they should be absolved. After all any pc which is better than theirminimumrecommended requirements should be able to run SC. It's clearly because I'm an idiot that my PC can't run this buggy, unoptimised mess of a game. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the SQ42 beta later this week![]()
Who cares? It was stupid people's money, ready to blow through your nose. The chairman is rich now. Maybe Sandi too and Erwin. Or Ortwin took it all. That would be funny. No other published game was funded by ~1/3 billion USD of pre-orders, though.
Only one unpublished one too...

In the end it is money circulating in the great circle of economy. Robbers is gonna spend it on luxuries. They need to be produced too. And if he buys american luxuries he can claim it a patriotic spending even. Even though he should spend it on British items. Maybe he just isnt sure what Britain consists of yet.Too harsh...lets call it "disposable income" instead and people dont care if they lose that ^^
You know what's finally coming in next NMS update, and before the same in SC? SANDWURMIES!!!!
Heretic! Everyone knows that Sandwurmie’s are ridden via$75 sandwurmie saddle on the RSI store before that.
Interesting! So if Genuine Roberts plays NMS, does this mean he'll have a Vision, wave his hands around, and we'll get a nice jpeg and maybe even a teaser video of Sandwurmies in Star Citizen, never been done before, coming soon?
I don't find anything that you've written offensive. Scots have got a sense of humour toograve voice on
Shame...I was expecting so much more from you with the second try. A redemption for your first "hit piece". I was expecting you to receive glorious 30 frames and no bugs at which point you would ve fallen in ̶l̶̶a̶̶u̶̶g̶̶h̶ love of which is teh fluff. A feeling, a sensation that you would ve tried but would ve been unable to put into words and so you would ve joined the ranks of "its fun and thats why its teh bestest"
You missed your shot. You missed your chance...now you ll be known as just another hater /sigh
grave voice off
Never mind. I was told germans have no sense of humor so I expect this one to derail horribly and probably offend somebody in the process. As for the idiot part of your story. I wouldnt fret about that, if we hear one thing reliably from all newcomers who try out SC for the first time its that its hard and them wasting lots of time figuring out industry standard stuff like standing up, running, powering up your ship or even entering your ship. Seems like none of these things is easy or intuitive in SC but once you break that barrier you wont think back and just enjoy (maybe) what SC has to offer?
Oh it ll help if you wont play anthing else anymore. Games that manage to deliver a living breathing 60 frames 4K with butter smooth performance world to play in wont help you to recognize what SC has to offer. Something that NO OTHER GAME out there can so obviously it has no competition.
You ll get there, three is the magic nunmber yes?
Ah you see not having the game on a SSD is the problem here. Its an un-updated but well known secret that a SSD is part of the minimum requirement set. Once you correct that error you too will be able to enjoy Star Citizen at 240 frames and no bugs at all ^^ You are welcome![]()
