Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

So, i haven't watched CIG's video on it, but reading about it, it sounds like the hyped cargo areas are just a place to select cargo missions.

So, have CIG walked back on the whole "have your ship loaded and unloaded manually, either by yourself or NPCs" or are we talking tier 0 here?

You should ask yourself how you can judge a whole community to be 'irrational'.
You are part of a rationnal community ? And it give you the power to say what is rationnal and irrational ?
When I say "humans can be left handed", I don't mean every human is a leftist. Lost in translation again?

It is the first iteration the citizens will call it tier 0. But to keep you calm there is Soon™️ a ship sale incoming. That is for sure. The other funny thing is let this ED expansion cost $50 with all the free ingame ships suits and so on the citizens will go mad or getting into their white knight armor an preparing a huge defense.
That would explain Salte Mikes face“what a DLC and all my Sc shine things are in an DLC with working elevators and gameplay?“. I had pre look at the Star Wars squadron campaign. The robbers have to deliver a realy good SQ42 😉
I think 2020 and 2021 will be very interesting years for the SC development.

Is there any reason for SC community to be loyal, besides their trust in Christopher? Because that trust is irrational too, there are no reasons to believe that Christopher can deliver - he had not delivered for quarter of century.

If it's not endowed with reason, it's irrational, by definition.

Not lost at all. The same sentence about one community among others give a lot different tone. I don't know how to say it in english "une mise en opposition tacite". I just made some little change to your sentence. It's still innocent ?
When I say "ED players can be boring", I don't mean every ED player is boring.
Implicitly, you are saying that this community is more boring than others.

Nope. I think you're over-interpreting. Et même en français je ne vois pas cette nuance : "les citrons peuvent être verts". Though I know what you mean, and somehow you're right but because there's factually these kind of edge cases in SC community, and inevitably it stains on the whole community. SC fans can be defensive (sorry, I'm tickling you ;) ). Would love to know if there's strict equivalents to Blobber or Montoya in ED fanbase for example.

Oh and true, ED players can be boring.

Oh again: Noobifier can be boring. BoredGamer is, period.

I just don't get supposed grown men whining over entertainment.
it's a trope of streaming culture generally.

people getting in tears about something, shouting into the camera, being extremely aroused about something.

you can have that on instagram, youtube, twitch.
streams of young and old, male, female and divers, on politics, games, beauty products.
last two analysis i read on it were either referring to the audience going for "emotion" as previously going for daily soaps (did you watch daily soaps back then?), or to the kind of emotional build-up/jolting (not sure about the english word here) a camera-with-a-potential-huge-audience creates, like diaries or letter-friendships did in previous times.

compared to the proverbial love-letter writer werther (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sorrows_of_Young_Werther), which book shelleys frankenstein monster picks up and identifies with, saltEmike is still luke. the book of werther was a huge commercial success 250 years ago, i can imagine the same for some of the streams, including SaltEMike ones.

Some news from the 3.11.
Weapons can now be looted on other player's body.

They put posters of the actual election campaign in station. As a roleplay gamer, it's really a good sign for me of their will to bring active roleplay in the universe.

The new decoy and noise countermeasures effect.

I don't think green lemons are so good. Lime yes, but unripe fruit is a nono in general for me.

What election campaign?

Oh wow, particles. PS 4 (that's right, four) presentation was so excited about that new technology. Back in 2013. Seven years ago.

Edit: maybe 4 depending on what qualifies as another HUD
If you need to press some button before you can press some other button, that's another HUD.
Honk in ED? switch mode button, honk button.
Scan in X4? switch mode button, scan button.

I blame X:Rebirth for this "HUD mode" shyte.

"citron vert" actually means lime in French. There aren't separate words for lime/lemon. It could be confusing in the case where you deliberately want to speak about an unripe lemon, but then you'd just call it an unripe lemon (citron pas mur) and not a green lemon. :)
This.
We have so much funny cases here. Like "mûre" meaning blackberry but also ripe, so "mûre mûre" is valid, and if you want to say "he whipsers blackberries are ripe" it becomes "il murmure que les mûres sont mûres"

Oh yeah? Tell that to the A10-C experience. The amount of times I was in wrong "hud modes" in DCS is quite substantial.

Heh, learning never stops.

And to keep going on lemon/lime, "le citron vert pas mûr" is an unripe lime, whereas "le citron pas mûr, vert" would be an unripe green lemon. And if there's a worm in a green unripe lime by the green wall: "Il y a un ver dans le citron vert pas mûr, vers le mur vert". o_O
