I think they want archive the DCS level of flares and chaff. Tbh it looks like crap In Sc. In DCS you could have multiple programms for flares and chaff. I could choose even the amount of flares and chaff to an max amount. Most fighters got AA AG DF and nightvision modes.

I actually like this. Similar thing happpened in ED, out of game RP event and no in game advertising on the ad boards outside or inside the stations, nothing to show anything was happening. It does add background life, emphasis on background.

If you need to press some button before you can press some other button, that's another HUD.
Honk in ED? switch mode button, honk button.
Scan in X4? switch mode button, scan button.

I blame X:Rebirth for this "HUD mode" shyte.

Agreed, it does cut down fire groups by up to 50%. In ED some scanners work on both 'Analysis' and 'Combat' modes so no need for mode switch, but others dont so there are optimal ways of assigning everything. Still annoying when in the wrong group or mode though, but overall its probably a really good idea and nothing to stop just loading everything into 1 fire group.

Someone can't take a joke, also, fails to understand OP's point that CIG should have communicated they were not going to meet their estimate, not that anyone actually expected them to meet it. Also jumps to calling OP a troll

Hopefully before someone believes the the OP wrote:
There never was a deadline at which Sq42 would have entered beta. There only existed an estimate. The OP is another prime example of a user who can't comprehend the data given and who confuses an estimate / best guess with a firm promise.

In case the OP does understand those things, this thread would be a troll thread. (My guess. But that's up to the moderators to decide.)

They did inform us. You chose to not acknowledge that.
We do know that a new roadmap is incoming and the old one is abandoned as it can not properly reflect development stages. With the knowledge of a new roadmap incoming we also know that more development work for the game is necessary, as otherwise we wouldn't need a new roadmap.

So I stand by my previous post. Now more certain than before that you are trolling (which is a spectrum rule violation btw).

First estimate for s42 when campaign launched was 2014 ... there were interviews where Chris backed the date up as it was being questioned in the media and he said that S42 was quite well developed prior to launching the campaign ..

There were videis of the developed physics , enemy ai, wingman AI etc...

I thought it was an excellent piece of sarcasm and keeing it funny but I guess you cannot laugh about obvious humor when you are so sore from all the rectal treatment you received from CIG over the years that you go completely bent out of shape over something like this. Just looking for an opportunity to lash out and as CIG provides the much needed addiction product you cant lash out at them. I think putting something like that on the Spectrum forum is pure bravery to begin with. Either the poster knew exactly what he walked into at which point I admire his skin armour or he Is/was one of the faithful trying to be genouinly funny which puts him on the hater stick for the rest of his comrades. A tough wake-up call I take it. I wonder if he will receive a warning or ban for this.

Hey, A10-C, I'm talking to you! Maybe you need all those hud modes, I know nothing about you (except that you are ugly), but I still blame X:Rebirth. Space ships are fictional and don't require that kind of shyte.

Are you for real? I consisder the A-10 one of the most beautiful planes out there. It has character, it doesnt give 2 fuffs about what you think when it BRRRRRRRts you into the ground and ALL of its stats are beyond impressive. Its a marvel and that alone outshines superficial asthetics. Quality over fluff...this plane makes a statement about it.
