Summary
System: Eurybia
Station: Awyra Flirble (Coriolis Starport, large pads available, 272 Ls from main star, 80.83 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting for Eurybia Blue Mafia in Conflict Zones
Time limit: 8th October 3306 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
The bombs used in recent terrorist attacks on four Imperial starports may have been developed by Liz Ryder, an Engineer in the Eurybia system.
The Imperial Internal Security Service published this report:
Analysis of station traffic revealed that the explosives were delivered on cargo transports linked to the Eurybia Blue Mafia, a notorious anarchist organisation that we have reason to believe is secretly supplying the NMLA.

The Eurybia Blue Mafia is protecting the demolitions expert Liz Ryder, who we strongly suspect of designing the specialist weapons used in the starport bombings. As they have refused to cooperate, a state of war has been declared until the Engineer is surrendered to our custody.
Ana Westergard, a spokesperson for the Eurybia Blue Mafia, broadcast this emergency message:
This is an outrageous invasion by the Empire! We categorically deny any involvement with the NMLA. I urgently call upon our supporters – and anyone who cares about freedom – to help us defend Liz Ryder as well as our independence.
If victorious, supporters ending in the top 75% of contributors will have a fully engineered lightweight and high capacity Class 2 Seeker Missile Rack with Thermal Cascade put into storage for them at the Awyra Flirble starport by the 10th of October 3306.
The two factions have set out week-long campaigns, which will begin on the 1st of October 3306.
To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at the Awyra Flirble starport in the Eurybia system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Competing CG with the Keltim Empire League CG - whichever finishes first ends both!

Interesting indeed!

At the moment it looks like Ryder's side has the edge in bribes:
1) Implicitly, continued access to the engineer...
2) ...who unlocks Dorn, Tani, Tarquin and Fortune (though admittedly, Dorn's the only really useful one of those)
3) and you get a nice bonus module, too.

(When it says "lightweight and high capacity" does that mean "one lightweight rack and one high capacity rack" or does it mean "one single rack which has somehow had both blueprints applied to it?" because one of those is nice but probably not compelling to most people and the other is incredibly good)

...while the Imperial side seems to feel that being a true Imperial with the survival of the Empire at heart needs no extra bribes. Well, it's always worked for them before!

I did this for the holo advert competition ages ago. Seems to have been quite pertinent :D
