I was never too concerned with the theory of anything or doing the actual learning bit preferring instead to just go ahead and do it...consequently, after cheating on my military demolitions course by copying a mates paper and handing it in, I left large, smoking craters all over the planet for quite a few years...N0t 3v3ryb0d1 1s a$ st00p1d as y0u Dude

Oh man...just opened up the entire tweet thread there. Saw mister Smart (is that a no-no name still?) and about died. That guy needs a new hobby.
Pretty disappointed...I do want to play Squadron 42. At least the new Star Wars game brings back memories of playing Tie Fighter and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter...that should hold me over for a good while.

On May 18th, 2020, CIG said we'd get a video about SQ42 the next day. Then the video was pulled for "editorial" reasons. We're still waiting for it. Before they halted the SQ42 roadmap months ago, SQ42 was supposed to be in beta now. They have not yet announced what the new schedule is.
Wow...same old, same old. Shame on me for thinking Mr. Roberts would learn a lesson or two.

I don't expect to hear a peep about Sqn 42 until well into next year...after the next refactoring or 2 once CR realises what's coming in the next generation of games already released, sold and reviewed...We've entered the next 2016-2020 cycle of Star Citizen, expect another 4 years of this current cycle as they redo everything from scratch once again
As for the latest PTU offering...fell through the planet at ArcCorps twice on my way to the ship terminals...eventually got to Levski where I fell through the hangar as I exited the ship. SC is going backwards faster than it's going forward...

Speaking of which, I just noticed that on my old PC (which I was repurposing for acting as a PLEX server) I had many gigs (about 100 gigs) of temporary files eating up my hard drive. Appears to have been left overs of SC installs...ew

You'd have to be a proper masochist to endure SC in the current form...I do try to play occasionally but mostly end up resting my head on the keyboard in frustration after half an hour or so...it's pretty awful. The live PU is slightly more stable than the PTU...but not much
The discussions in chat are slightly more entertaining...most of the usual suspects from PTU cycles are bemoaning that their shiny new RTX 3080's are only pushing out 35fps at Area 18, Lorville and New Babbage and generally around Stanton at 45fps before the servers collapse into the usual cycle of 30k errors.
I reminded them that I was getting similar or slightly higher fps with my sli 2070 supers...they didn't seem pleased

Outside the "main" sub there are actually quite a few small SC related subs. A number of them are set up by people who can't abide by the rules of the main sub or don't like the community there. Many are dead or only posted to rarely. Some are run by absoloute fruitcakes.
