Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Finished with the Guardian sites for now, been and refitted the carrier, now stocking AX weaponry.
Currently hopping around the bubble picking up items that Commanders need for Guardian blueprints.
Oh, and refuelling the carrier.

Edit: Wow, I'm still in the bubble stocking up the Guardian bits and bobs... Folk have already started buying them from my carrier, even at my spiv prices!

The return journey to the bubble is firmly underway but I'm still a good way out. Tritium appears to be rarer coming home than it was going out - down to bad luck on my choice of route, I 'spose.

Gratuitous carrier shot du jour:

On that lit-up pad is Tiffany Aching, a Cutter. Take the size of that ship and compare it against the carrier and one can appreciate just how big FC's are 🤯

In game, I'm still out in the void, making my slow way back with no schedule at all.

In RL, I'm heartbroken over the loss of my little co-pilot, Dusty. He was an old bunny (about 8 years) so it wasn't exactly unexpected, but it was sudden. His body just...stopped working.

So here's a toast to all the sweet furry family members we have. Love them while you can.

Here's a picture of him outside in the grass, a Spring or two ago. He was the best of the bunnies :)

Well, back in Witch Head, Wellington system. The Guardian unlock gubbins are selling, except for one lot. Oh, forgot to set them on the carrier's market.🤦‍♀️
Forgot to offload the mining gear from outfitting sales too, ach.

Must say, last two weeks, I've really been enjoying the Carrier. It's like running two separate accounts, Carrier business (Deck Officer Ruby Curry :ROFLMAO:) and Commander Speedcuffs business.

I remember thinking '25,000 units capacity on the Carrier? I'll never use all that!'
Yep, it's full.:ROFLMAO:

Edit: Cripes, the item I've just put on the market...
40 sold already!
Ker-ching! 🥳🤑🤑🤑

Arrived in Colonia finally. Stopped by Dove Enigma on the way to Jaques Station. Hit the bar at Jaques' and then the bunks for a decent night's sleep. Set off this morning for the short hop to Arcanonn's Legacy in Canonnia. Officially checked in with Canonn Deep Space. Politely declined their offer to use Legacy as a base of operations - ( 2.1g, no thanks! I'm already carrying some extra weight) We'll use Jaques Station as base-camp and just drop data off at Arcanonn's Legacy I think.

Dove Enigma visit.

Here barreling towards Jaques Station, me & Brooklyn both desparate for a pint.

Landed at Arcanonn's Legacy

[RP/off - I hope that for Odyssey FD take the trouble to create a unique character model for Jaques. I guess he's probably not tending bar these days, but seeing him wander around occasionally as owner would be very cool.]

When I get back to the bubble, I'm going to put a lot of cash into buying tritium.

It's odd. I love mining for painite and get all tingly when LTDs show up under my laserz. But mining tritium, for me, is the epitome of grind. I'm sure a long session in therapy would help me understand why :D

Yep, did it for a bit.
Getting Tritium isn't exactly 'The Joy of Mining'.
I load it myself, and usually have a buy order active if other Commanders want to make a bit of cash.

Just bought and engineered a Courier. OMG!
Why did I not buy one before! :D

...wait a second, didn't we already have that?

Yep.

You're about 15 to 20 years late.

Regarding the image in your signature: Betelgeuse 2 I guess? I recently visited that planet. Great little trip out of the Bubble, and that star is mighty big. AFAIR the planet is further away from the star than the distance from Earth to Sol, giving some sort of indication of how big Betelgeuse actually is.

When sitting there on the planet looking at the star, for some strange reason I think I heard somebody shouting "DEHYDRATE!" ;)

The Courier is very agile when built as a racer with EPTs. Almost feels like an Eagle. I still haven't found a good combat build though, because the EPTs are VERY critical to the ships mass. Just think about a shield booster and you'll immediately lose a few hundred m/s. As a courier though, it's great fun.

Mine has 3 x C2 Gauss.
So I've removed the dash heater.
Toasty!🔥🔥🔥:ROFLMAO:

I personally went for three lightweight/SP rail guns, with roughly the same result. Since then I've built a Mamba with incendiary MCs. That one also ran pretty hot, until I got a low emission/thermal spread PP (still decided to call it Hindenburg). It took me some time to realize the value of efficient PPs. Used to just overcharge them, but these days I always try to get as good efficiency as possible. It even makes it harder for the opponent to see you and to lock their weapons, the rumor says.
