General Ships for rent

Really not sure what you are asking for, when ships were stored at stations, which are visible in all modes, you couldn't rent ships out, so why should you be able to now! Apart from all that, just because your FC is visible in all modes that doesn't also mean your ships are visible in all modes, stored ships are the same as the ship you are using, only visible in the mode you are playing.
Ship Rental was suggested when FC came out - especially for people like the DSSA in remote locations where a passerby might want to hire a miner for a change of pace, or a canyon runner.

And it's not like it has nothing to do with the visibility of the FC, just flashed a thought based on car rental.
Because I'll rent it, thrash the engine to bits and abandon it upside down in a ditch somewhere

Now that's a point, a group of us could just sit beside a FC and wait for the CMDR to take out his barge to buy Tritium, then rent all the rest of his ships!
It is very simple. I myself assign what my ships, at what price and for how long I can surrender.
You pay the money and there is no problem. The amount is no less than insurance. If you wrecked my ship, you lost it, I'll just pay the insurance and the boat again.
Yes yes, you can take it, but the term of the lease is agreed with the cost of the lease.
What are the other options for tricks ?
What happens if the lease runs out while I'm 20000Ly away in your ship? Do I get free instant travel back to your carrier?

Is there a difference between 10 and 20,000 ly ?
In my opinion, everyone (most of them) who has been playing the game for a long time does not come back from the Colony themselves, changes their ship to a sidewinder and crashes.
